When was your first ancestor?
Good question indeed, where dose a lifes blood line start?
I know for certain, that my ancestors are atleast from 4 million years ago. Unless there is a god who tricked us and there really were no PPL back then..

actually, our bloodlines extend back to the first appearance of proper blood in a living organism, although our first ancestors are the world's first living organisms.

If I wanted to give the deepst awnser, ppl would cry they dont understand me again.
Just take the questions "where dose our blood line start?"
BTW, how do we trace something to a living organism we have no evidence telling us what or even when it was? Your hypothosis is tempting, but not officialy known.

the great flood (somewhere around 2700 bc) implies that we are all decendents of noah, and the 3 women.. How do you like that??
There is a calander which the current year is 5763.
This is the pure hebrew calander. Indicates year 1 as the beggining of the world. Arent the hewbrews the one whos accounts are the first 5 books of the bible?? (The pentateuch)
One way it could be true, is if god tricked us, and there really was no dinosoars, or ppl in africa. Or the first major towns, 1 in 6700 BC called Catyal Hyuk (somthin like that) with mudbrick buildings and everything.. That didnt exist either.
God tricked us, is an awnser although perhaps not true.. It is mans myth, and legacies. Perhaps leading ppl away from a rl concept of god. And mabey the RL god dosnt mind ?

basicly, screaming ever so quietly in my mind.. as the same question is old to me *whats real*. IIt surprises me that you all do not question like I.
And to say the question is to be unthought, well that is to deny human kind its search for purpose. AND YES I do get awnsers sometimes. You want them? you have to ask within yourself.. I can only share leaks of my conclusions. of which not enough ppl find
oh btw, if Noah and the kids were real like that, there was no heritage of mouth.. in my portion of his blood line.. Some ppl are black, some white, ect, so I guess god moved some of noahs decendants. Or perhaps the 3 women had different colored babies. for some reason lol.. In any case we're all half noah. (suggestively by the bible)..
also, the hebrews were led from egypt, was not 5763 years ago. According to the calender I'm refering to, 5763 was the beggining of earth and this place

The entire Old Testament/Hebrew Scriptures is the history (and mythology) of the Hebrews, not just the Pentateuch. And, If I Recall Correctly their calendar starts with the Passover and flight from Egypt, not the Creation.
{Edit: Never mind. You're right, the Jewish calendar does go from a calculated year 1 of creation. I must have been thinking of the Islamic one, which starts with Muhammad's migration to Medina.}
As to the rest, I have a serious beef with using the Bible in place of science, and IMO the origins of humanity falls squarely in the realm of paelo-anthropology. Noah is a myth.

Well, the oldest of my known predecessors were Greeks from Constantinople (Istanbul at that time). They settled in the pricipality of Moldova, (which was soon to be united with Valachia and form Romania) in the early 1800's.

My First ancestor would be my father, born in 1951.
My second ancestor, my grandfather... was born sometime before that, in a place I know nothing about. I really should pay more attention .

Khaelo, have you heard of the recent study which tends to support the hypothesis that all humans are genetically descended from a single African female some tens of thousands of years ago??? I recently watched a program called "The Real Eve" on the Discovery Channel that was a well-developed anthropological/biological presentation tending to support this conclusion very strongly.
As I recall it, her offspring / descendants gradually spread (was it during the break-up of Pangea?) and the varying climes led to the evolutionary development of adaptive genetic traits, eventually creating the races. Some examples are: dark skin on people evolving near the equater for melanin protection against the sun, shorter limbs on folks closer to the poles for body warmth, etc. The study was very persuasive.
It is also possible that Noah really did exist (I recall seeing scientific data tending to support the occurrence of the flood around the time it was reported in the area of Ararat, etc) and from the perspective of the writers of the Old Testament the flood consumed the "whole world," although it was only the whole world as they knew it. So while the event probably happened, it has been mythologized to fit the purposes of the message contained in the Biblical version.

Well, um... Pangea started breaking up 200 million years ago.
I doubt she was that old.

Either way, I'd like to watch that show sometime... it would be interesting , though I tend to doubt on the surface that they have narrowed us down to 1 person.

Yes Delfontes, that sounded somewhat incredible to me too, until I watched the program. I found it somewhat convincing.
Frankly I cannot remember in a general timeframe for however long ago she lived, but 200 million couldn't be right, so it must have been after that. I suppose land bridges (eg Bering Straight and all) and sea travel must have been the way we all got so scattered around.

Peacemaker
This theory seems highly improbable from an evolutionary point of view. Evolution acts on large populations over many thousands of years. We can't talk about an individual as our ancestor, but of a large number of individuals that shared the same biological traits and lived in the same area (they would have to breed amongst them in order to preserve these traits).
However, I did not watch that Discovery documentary, so I cannot fully conclude on a topic I do not know in detail. I would be most curious to find out the exact period of time in wich that female you are talking about is estimated to have lived.
