(general assent)

Vadskye: "So, now let's plan.  We now have three crystals.  Each crystal seems to take 1/4 of the Unholy One's power, right?"

(Gorman, Dean and MM agree.)

Vadskye: "So we need one more crystal to fully destroy him.  Has anyone ever heard of a hidden crystal?"

Gorman: I need to step out for a minute....I'll be right back...

*Steps out and heads towards the inn. Rents a room, goes inside of it and locks the door. I then push a large chest in front of it so that nobody can force their way in. I then sit on the bed and concentrate deeply on my journey, I have some questions for my god*

Crook: Ah! How good to see you again!
Gorman: I'd suspect so as you never have any other visitor's.
Crook: Truely spoken! Now, to the point, you only come here when you have questions. So ask.
Gorman: Very well. Is there any way to change the shapeshifter known as Dean back into a human.

*Crook thinks a minute, reaches over to grab a bowl full of food of some sort*

Crook: This...is holy spam. Absolutely pure. It will return him to his human state if he eats it and all of his memories will return to him.
Gorman: *taking the spam* Thank you my lord.
Crook: Oh come, come now! I know you have another question!
Gorman: *thinking back to the shadowman that I had aided a long time ago* Well, yes, there is another. Is there anyway to combat the darkness and make all shadows revieled?
Crook: You may not be pure, but you are an Archangel. You still are embedded with the power of the light. You can make yourself a living light that can illuminate most dark places.
Gorman: Why was I never taught this trick?
Crook: Damn! I can't teach you EVERYTHING! I only help out when aid is needed!
Gorman: Oh.
Crook: Now begone before I smite thee buttocks!

*my eyes widen and I run out the door back to the mundane plane. I awake and am sitting there with the holy spam in my hand*

Gorman: Now...to find Dean...

Deimos: Ugh. I don't feel so good.
Dingo: Deimos, we're leaving.
Deimos: No... I can come with you. I feel better.
Dingo: Deimos, I would be glad to let you join us, but I think you're a little tied up at the moment.
Deimos looked at the ropes and broke out of them.
Deimos: Dingo, that was not funny.
Gorman came in.
Gorman: Where's Dean?
Deimos ingnored Gorman. He never liked the wolf. "His smell," how could one not get mad after that?
Deimos: What are these... crystals?
Vadskye told him.
Deimos: We don't need crystals. I can freeze 2Xtreme with my bare hands. Wait, I can freeze him without my hands. Or I can burn him. You name it.

Vadskye: Yes.
Deimos: Magogs heal quickly and aren't bothered by things like that, Dr. Vadskye. Now, as I understand, we have three out of four crystals, which means we contain 3/4 of 2xtreme's power. Here's an idea. Dingo, Vadskye, MM, listen.
Dingo: What's your idea?
Deimos: Dingo, you summon the biggest and strongest Dark Spamling you can. Vadskye and MM, try to transfer the crystals' contents to the Spamling. Then, Dingo, slap the spamling.
Dingo: Slap? But it is under my control anyway.
Deimos: I know, just a precaution. 2xtreme's power might cause it to obey him, not you.
Dingo: That makes sense.
There was a pause.
MM: What happened to Dean?
Gorman squirmed in his chair uncomfortably.

Gorman: Eat this.

What is it?

Gorman: Dog food! Now eat!

Well it did smell tasty, and I wasn’t getting anywhere with the barman. No pockets = no money  = no ale. I ate it.
It tasted nice. Could have used some salt or mustard, but was nice. And warm. Warmed me all the way to my toes.

That’s strange.
It shouldn’t be doing that!

The queerest feeling starts to build in my stomach, and I start to panic. Bolting for the door I rush outside. The warm feeling is coming back, like sitting too close to a fire, all over my body. And that feeling in my stomach is spreading, like a vibration.
My legs give way and I sink to my belly, my whole body thrumming like some huge harp string. A sound somewhere between a whine and a howl escapes my throat.
I’m being squeezed and stretched at the same time. Screwing my eyes shut tight I wait, hoping this feeling will pass and swearing to myself that, if it’s the last thing I do – I’ll get that angel for doing this to me.

All of a sudden the feeling stops.

I open my eyes and stare at the bright blue sky. The clouds are moving slowly and I fancy that one of them looks like a horse.
Urgh I need to clear my head.
Putting my hands on the ground I shakily help myself to my feet.

Then I collapse to the ground with a hard thump, but I don’t feel it.

Hands! Feet!!!!

I’m human again!!!

I could kiss that angel, truly he is sent from heaven!!!!

Still shaky I stagger to my feet and push the door of the tavern open.

Vadskye: "Now wait a minute! I... hey, that's a good plan Deimos. Let's use it!

In a rusty voice I ask ‘What plan?’

The whole room looks at me, Gorman just nods his head, looking satisfied and I give him a smile of thanks.

MM: ‘And just who exactly are you? And why would we bother to tell you our plans?’

Grinning at Gorman I say: Would you like to tell them?

Still smiling like the cat who got the cream Gorman announces:
‘Gentlemen, I believe you are all acquainted with Dean’

Six stunned faces stare at me in disbelief. Then Vadskye breaks into a grin and says:

‘Welcome back to the human race Dean’.

The others mumble something along the same lines, and I thank them all, Gorman most of all. I’ll have to buy him a present with a big bow on it to say thanks. Mighty Mage looks at me strangely, perhaps he recognises me from the University, though we never studied with the same teachers.

The others quickly fill me in on the plan so far.
Like a sluicegate opening I remember everything. The Council sending me south to investigate, the accident and;

‘The Water Sapphire! I have it! I mean, I had it, but I buried it after my accident. I can find it again. It’s buried about two days travelling north of here’

The others again look stunned. And annoyed. Though when I explain that I had lost some of my memories due to my condition they brightened up again. The others quickly agree to accompany me to fetch the Sapphire. I start to head for the door.

Deimos: Um Dean….

Dean: Yes?

Deimos: We’ll have to stop at a tailors before we leave town though…..

Dean: Why? You don’t need to wear clothes.

Deimos: No, but you do.

I stare at him for about five seconds before I look down and realise that I’m stark naked.

Dean: Whoops! You might have mentioned it a bit earlier!

Weaving the illusion of clothes for myself, once again tasting the thrill of magic on my tongue, I head out the door, followed by the others.

OOC: Deimos, we had already agreed that Asmodean would get the last crystal when he returns to his human form.

A darkness casts over the tavern. RSF wonders what is going on and assumes it to be another being of darkness, being that he has heard of and encountered so many of them as of late. He can see nothing, however his friend Dingo seems to still see everything fine. He hears furniture overturned and a loud yelp by a dog, followed by silence. A familiar voice breaks the silence.

Voice: "You created those monsters? I thought you were merely a hypnotist."

This had to be someone that at least knew Dingo. But who could it be?

Dingo: "No, I am now much more, just as you now appear to be, shadow mage. I have attained the powers of a god, and I now rule over all dark spam."

Voice: "Excellent, just as I had hoped. I have a proposition for you. Seeing as how I can either render your spamlings useless or augment their powers beyond what you could alone. Imagine what you could accomplish with these minions of yours if they had a shadow to prowl around in, none could match your might. In exchange, I want you to provide me with as much dark spam as I desire, whenever I want."

RSF is worried about this person. He and this mystery man could gain unstoppable power, something that RSF had never intended for Dingo to achieve. He knew that when it came down to it. He could defeat Dingo, but whoever this new arrival was, was definitely going to get in the way of his ultimate goal, solitary and absolute rule of the entire world.

Dingo hesitated and then accepted the man’s offer. RSF was upset that Dingo did not talk with him before he joined the stranger. But his anger soon faded and was overshadowed by the realization of the mystery man’s true identity. For the first time, RSF knew of Shadowcaster still being alive. All this time, Dingo had never bothered to mention that the one person that drove RSF to insanity was still alive. The pain that RSF had suppressed over the "murder" of his best friend, was all over something that did not actually happen. But it was too late for RSF to finally come to his senses. No. He had already long suppressed the conscience he once had, the conscience that made him regret all the bad that he had done, the conscience that was now buried deep and distrusted, distrusted because, as far he was concerned, it had only brought him irreversible pain and suffering. He had removed everything that made him a good man and everything that had made him just a man. The pain was gone and so had his love, his passion, and his righteousness. And so, the fact that Shadowcaster was still alive didn’t affect him one bit. He had no hate for Shadowcaster. He had no love for his best friend. He felt nothing. As far as he was concerned Shadowcaster was just another powerful man standing in his way, a man that could be manipulated to his own plans. RSF knew this would be difficult for he knew that Shadowcaster was a cunning man and the slightest error in his plans for manipulation would be the end of it; and even then RSF knew it would be a difficult task. Up for the challenge, RSF waited for the darkness to leave. The sunlight slowly poured in through the windows and filled the room with light once more revealing an empty tavern with the exception of Dingo and his old friend and nemesis, Shadow.

RSF: (Aside to Dingo) "What the hell are you doing, Dingo? Are you trying to blow our cover? Allying with this hostility in front of the townsfolk?"

Dingo: (Aside to RSF) "Don’t worry the room was dark and everyone had already cleared out anyway."

Shadowcaster stared at RSF and smiled but a bit of a sneer.

Shadow: "A familiar face. I didn’t expect to see YOU around here. I hear you have gone mad."

He laughs again.

Shadow: "I say you have finally come to your senses. Who needs friends anyway? They are merely a weakness, a weapon against your motivations, your plans, your... plots? NO... I hate that word. It sounds too... stereotypical. I like to think of it as procedures for self-gain. So we step on a couple of weaklings that will have no affect on anyone’s lives except a few pathetic beings that will end up morning and sulking their entire meaningless lives away. Yes? Is this not true? Or are you still getting used to your own evilness?"

RSF: "Such an arrogant one you have become. But I can see through the... shadow... that you have put up for yourself. This act you put before me now is nothing but for show... to... try to impress me, as though you have gained powers. And yes, you very may well have. I can see you have learned to even block out small amounts of sunlight, at least for a short period of time. But even then, you try to impress me. You still fear me, even now. But I am willing to work with you, for now at least."

RSF holds out his hand. Shadowcaster takes it and holds on for a second to say another word.

Shadow: "Well... if I am putting up a show then what was that whole speech about?"

RSF has not chance to respond for Deimos comes in babbling about who knows what. He slips out the back unnoticed by all... except for Shadowcaster.

Shadow: (to himself) "Stealing one out of my book, hey, old sport?"

He chuckles at the irony of the situation and then restrains himself. He remembers his vows to never become attached to anyone ever again.

Dingo was wondering about the Wolf’s transformation into a human.  It happened because the Wolf ate something.  The Wolf ate some SPAM.  But what SPAM was it?  Did Woock create a new SPAM?  Was he still alive?  How can SPAM change a person like that?  These were all questions that needed to be answered.  Dingo got a headache from thinking, so he went outside for a breath of fresh air.  The sun blinded him, it seemed that since he had become a God, that the sun was getting brighter and brighter.  It was becoming unbearable.  Darkness became a sanctuary.  He went for a little stroll.  He then noticed a peasant that seemed depressed.

Dingo:  What’s the matter?

Peasant:  Last night someone broke though my shed.  Then some dogs ate all the food that was in it.  I don’t know what I will eat.

Dingo feeling sorry for the poor man, pulled out a handful of Dark SPAM.

Dingo:  Here take this, eat it, you will feel better.  Keep it out of the sunlight though.

Peasant:  Oh thank you!  How did you do that?  That food came from nowhere.

Dingo was feeling good.  He felt powerful.  His ego was going wild.

Dingo:  I am a God.  If you want to live a better life, worship me.

The peasant kissed Dingo’s hand.  Dingo walked off, feeling a little bit more powerful.  He sat down and looked at the sky.  Then everything became a blur.  Everything went into focus, and he was now in a golden dinning room.  He then heard a voice speak to him.

Voice:  Welcome Dingo, God of Dark SPAM.

Dingo:  Hello, where am I?

Voice:  You are in the God’s dinning room.  I am Zeus, God of the Gods.

Dingo:  Why am I here?

Zeus:  You are a God, and I am giving you a warm welcome.

Dingo:  Why now, why not earlier?

Zeus:  A God becomes more powerful with the more people that worship him.  You were not born a God, and you became one though power.  It takes a little longer for all of your Godly powers to kick in.  You can come here whenever you please; this is the realm of Gods.  From here you can see almost anything that is going on.

Dingo:  This is good.  I like this place; it’s very nice.  What was that SPAM that the Wolf ate?

Zeus:  That was holy SPAM.  Woock created many different types of SPAM long ago.  Most of his creations are only here.

Dingo:  How did it get to the real world?

Zeus:  The Angel came here and got it from his God, The Crook.  Well I have some business to attend to, so do as you please.

Dingo:  Thank you.

Dingo wandered around the Golden palace.  He was meeting many Gods and Goddesses.  He drank some wine, and he felt great.  Dingo decided to head back to the real world.  He looked down and saw the town.  Then he was in the town.

Dingo:  I need more worshippers.

Two days of travel have brought our intrepid adventurers to the location of the final crystal. The sun beams down mightily through the canopy of the forest.
The companions chat while two large earth elementals, summoned by the boyishly handsome Dean, excavate the ground around them; searching for the Water Sapphire.

Dean: ......so when the Council sent me south, they entrusted me with the Water Sapphire. Since my talents differ from MM's they thought they obviously thought they'd have a better chance sending both of us. Though I thought that I was the only one sent.

MM: I too thought that my mission was a solo one.

Deimos: So which one of yo- have they found it?

One of the earth elementals approaches Dean, and hands him a long thin chest. There is no visible lock, but the impression of a hand it outlined in strange runes.

Dean: You see, it wouldn't have mattered who found the chest. It would never have opened for anyone but me, as the magical lock is keyed to my touch.

Vadskye: That sounds like a wager...

Dean: Well you're willing to try my friend, but I left a nasty surprise for anyone foolish enough to rob me. One of the runes, unless de-activated by my touch would trigger a summoning incantation I laid on it.
In other words - you might have gotten the chest open, but when you turned around there would be a very hungry Mantis behind you.

MM gives a low whistle of appreciation: Neat trick. And here I thought Summoners were all sprites and unicorns.

Dean: You wouldn't be the first to make that mistake....

Pressing his palm to the runes, which disappear with a small flash he opens the chest to reveal.......

Deimos: Um.... I think you're accident may have affected more than you realized. That's a War Mace, not a crystal.

It looked like a typical war mace, long handle bound by nondescript, well worn leather. A large ball of dark metal with vicious looking spikes protruding from it. The suggestion of dried blood on a few of them.

Dean: Watch and learn my demonic friend.

When I take the mace in my hand the dark ball of metal begins to glow faintly and then suddenly bursts into a bright blue aura around the weapon.

Dean: You see. When the ancestors of all the races were forced to fight The Forsaken Ones, as they were called then, they called upon the powers of the elements.
This power was distilled and redistilled into four Gems. Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. The four Gems were then used as weapons to literally combat The Forsaken Ones. Each was set into a weapon and given to the four greatest fighters and mages of the time. Accompanied by their armies The War Of Power was fought until one by one the Forsaken Ones were sealed away.
The key to their prison was set into a Pendant, which was worn by the Emperor of the realm.

Deimos: Emperor, there's no emperor in these lands!

Dean: No, the empire began to crumble and leaders and generals began to carve out nations for themselves, and the Pendant was lost. Of the four crytals only two were saved by the Council. The other two were lost in the looting of the Emperor's city. The Emerald Of Earth used to be the pommel stone of a great Longsword, but when it was recovered, some fool had thrown away the sword and kept the Emerald out of greed. Only the original Ice Mace survives. The Fiery Morningstar obviously suffered the same fate as Earth's Tooth, and The Staff of the Clouds is lost to time.

That one of the Forsaken Ones have broken loose is truly worrying. Someone, somewhere has found the Pendant and has unwittingly freed one of the Forsaken Ones. Legend has it that they were bound to the Pendant in both body and Spirit, and whoever holds the Pendant may be able to coerce them into serving the wearer.

Vadskye: But that means....

Dean: Yes. It's bad enough that the Forsaken One might act out of it's own volition. But if the Pendant were to fall into the wrong hands.....

The shadow mage was again alone. He stood in the wrecked tavern and surveyed his surroundings, noticing that the destruction apparent throughout the ruined building had not begun with his entrance. There had been some sort of a battle before. The accursed wolf and his comrades had fled as the new alliance was formed between the two masters of darkness, and while he knew it shouldn’t worry him, it did. That angel, the wolf, and the two magi had proven more trouble than he had bargained for in his decided bout for solitude. But he had gathered information on each of them, he had assessed their weaknesses and they should not be hard to twist around to his will. He was still the potter, they the clay, at least in his mind. The angel’s light was still undiscovered by him, and whatever the course, theirs should be a glorious battle.

One thing still worried the shadow mage, though. He had not expected this extra ally, and while he had vowed not to let his anger get the best of him, conflicting emotions stirred inside of him and, no matter how hard he tried, the shadow mage could not suppress them. One part of him missed his friend, the other part kept reminding him that his so-called friend had betrayed and then killed him. Whatever went on inside of him would stay there, though, power now guided him instead of passion, and he was better off for it. This new alliance was too good to be true, and the power-hungry god of dark spam was too blinded by his ego to realize that Shadowcaster was not to be trusted. Yes, he was much better off now.

Shadowcaster unsheathed his sword and walked outside, glancing down the road in time to see a large group of soldiers approaching. They had, no doubt, heard of the turmoil and had gone to restore order in the village and to apprehend those responsible. Dingo was standing further down the road, staring into the sky, thinking about who knows what. He seemed happy. The shadow mage tried to escape the scene of the crime quickly enough to elude the soldiers, but he was spotted by the head guard as he exited the tavern and was soon labelled the culprit. The band of soldiers ran toward him and the shadow mage answered the charge, running full speed back at them. Just before the two parties collided, a figure suddenly appeared between them and shouted:

“STOP!!”

Everyone one the street stopped and stared at the figure; the god of dark spam was blocking the way. Shadowcaster looked at his new ally and realized that he could teleport as well. This god was just full of surprises. He hadn’t seen the extent of Dingo’s usefulness, either, and he watched in amazement as Dingo turned to scold the guards for causing trouble in the streets, claiming that the shadow mage was now with him and was simply looking through the tavern for the same reason they were. The soldiers did not look Dingo in the eye, in fact, they seemed to fear him. Without asking for any confirmation from Shadowcaster as to his motives for being inside the tavern, the soldiers made a hasty retreat from the streets. It was then that the shadow mage learned that Dingo was connected to the last remaining king in the world, how, he did not know, but he knew that he would find out in time. This kingdom would fall if the god had his way, and Shadowcaster guessed that the only reason it hadn’t was because of the time mage’s advice to let it remain. It was a good decision, no matter who had made it, for the kingdom was a valuable asset for puppetry.

Shadowcaster then began to wonder what was next, and he turned to Dingo and began to talk to the god, interrupting another burst of sudden thought.

“Dingo, where is your base?”

The god remained motionless and silent, and the shadow mage was puzzled. He didn’t know that Dingo’s mind had wandered again to the realm of the gods.

“You do have a base, don’t you?”

Again, no answer came. Giving up, the shadow mage decided, reluctantly, to search for the RSF, who had seemed to take the prospect of working together fairly well. Hopefully, the time mage would help Shadowcaster back to the base, if there was one. Anything was better than waiting for his other ally to awaken from his trance. He walked around to the back of the tavern.

*alone and confused at everyone's derparture, I set out on the road. It was about mid-day and I had decided to take a rest and sat under a large tree with my sword point in the ground and my hands on the hilt in meditation. Suddenly, something in the Astral plane gave me a jolt. I felt a strange presence and my god's voice boomed in my head*

Crook: Did I not order you to kill that new fool of a god?!
Gorman: I haven't the chance yet my master... I do not know who his allies are and who are mine. How can I slay one who has everyone working against me?
Crook: *roaring in rage* You slay him by taking your sword and driving it through his vitals! Like any murderor! I don't care how you kill that little beast! Just do it, and do it NOW!

*His voice, suddenly gone, still echoed in my head. Like a drummer beating, I knew he was there, watching me. I could feel his cold stare on my body...I could feel the wind as his breath... I dared not infury his wrath so I set out down the road. I was traveling in no particular direction when I noticed a familiar person traveling down the road. But yet, it couldn't honestly be him...*

When all else fails... Take notes.... ALL the time... ESPECIALLY when playing D&D.... or Pokemon in my case
