Future American Dream
I live in a wealthy town in Northern New Jersey. You all know me as Killa Bee... I am 19 years old.
I believe in trying to better my body in every which way possible. After I wake up I begin my routine. I immediately rinse my mouth with mouthwash to rid myself of "morning breath." I then get on my treadmill or take a half mile walk outside as an easy way to boost my heart rate. Once I complete my walk, I stretch each body part for 15 seconds. I proceed to doing 5 different sets of pushups and ab excercises (pushups immediatly proceeded by crunches, etc). Once I complete those, I usually get on my treadmill and jog 1-2 more miles gradually increasing the speed each 1/8 of a mile. Once finished with my cardio workout, I finish a bottle of Poland Spring or Deer Park water. Immediately afterwards, I cut myself a grapefruit and/or an orange as I cook 4 eggs over easy. I'll often accompany my eggs with two slices of toast (with no butter) and orange juice. Finally, I brush my teeth, jump in the shower, get out and shave, and dress for the day's occasion.
Though you may think I'm ahead of the game with a routine such as mine and you may even wish you were motivated enough to do the same... internally there is great pain.

I Think I Know Where You're Coming From...

Killa,
I think pain may be too harsh a word, because there are others who share your view of the way our society conditions people. Some may call your routine a healthy lifestyle, others may call it a waste of energy, while some may even say you are the epitome of modern society (Western Culture may be the better term) impressing its values upon the individual.
Having spent several years in Boulder, Colorado and taken a few philosophy, sociology, and marketing classes, I can tell you that I have shared your feeling about this as well...that is, if I am interpreting your post correctly.
In my humble opinion, the best cure for these feelings is to blow up your television, spend a lot of time outdoors, pack your computer away in the basement for six months, and read some Thoreau.
Stay safe and cool. Just remember, don't ever be afraid of Wal-Mart, Coca Cola, and McDonald's...they are your friend...you must consume...

Nice Routine
Hi Killa_Bee,
Welcome to the Other Side of the Monitor. I love the routine you described. However that's a heck of a lot of eggs over easy my friend. Four? Whoa that's killer on the heart. But then again who the heck am I kidding? Check this routine of mine out. It's gonna make you feel real good after you read it.
In the morning I wake up at 5am and drink a cup of apple juice. Half the cup is water and the other half is the juice. Since it's spring here in Oregon I grab a tablet of claritin for the allergies. After that I come into the garage and start the coffee maker. While the coffee is brewing I turn on the computer and reply to my daily Heroes3 email games. I have a buddy in Wisconsin and a 55y/o guy in Philly that I play with. Coffee is done by now and so I add some serious non-dairy Irish-cremer added with a spoon of instant cocoa. All that gets poured into a thermos-sized mug. On the mug there's a script about success. LoL, by now I'm sitting at the computer surfing the Heroes Community forums. I always do Tournament first because the cheese-moes over there love to flame and i get a kick out of posting in a hot kitchen if you get my meaning. Then I hit the rest and finally end with a story post for my BG diaries. After the diary is posted I walk back into the kitchen and make a nice bowl of raisin bran cereal. LoL, by then I've got some sort of messed up ex-lax reaction to the cereal and coffee. !Bam! It hits me and !Bam! I hit the restroom for a good start to my day.
Ain't life grand? Hell yeah baby.

Fitness is a new religion. Still it wont save us from death. In an increasingly complex world it is a way to pretend to be in control of something. But its fake.
Still, fitness chicks are hot! hehe. I guess fitness is a good thing. But there are other things needed as well. We mustn't forget what it is to be human.

Yeah, get me ten pacs o' beer, two packs of cigarettes, some high-fat pork meat, overcooked and there you have it!
The perfect daily routine to keep you healthy forever.
BTW, bjorn, you are right, ABs rock
