silenced skybells melt,
for the maiden has married
the snake, in her dream

Yes, that's what they express traditionally, but that doesn't mean we have to be restricted to it, does it? Any poem of the 5-7-5 syl. structure is a haiku (or at least a poor attempt in our cases )
