i have a problem
There's a problem with my heroes og might and magic two... or my computer. *drinks some ale* When i put on my HOMM 2, the music is on MIDI so i try to change it to CD and CD with opera the is no sound at all (apart from the sound effects)!!! wither this is a computer problem, or a problem with my copy of HOMM 2, i do not know. So guys... what should i do?
(if this thread is in the wrong section, im sorry)

could you please rephrase that and give more details of your hardware/OS/Cd ?
anyway if the game is fine than it might be the sound card or the cd-rom (most likely the cd-audio wire is disconnected) ...

Try changing the sound card on setup.bat
That is if you actually own the game. If it's just some version you downloaded, the opera audio is removed.

Yes it is my own version, i used to play it at my dads house, but now he gave it to me, but when i play it on mine, only the MIDI's work.

same problem
I have exactly the same problem with win xp pro and might and magic 6.
Works perfectly, but no music.

Hmm, I canīt get mm6, 7 or 8 working on my xp. How can you do that?? Iīve tried everything possible! unfair...

yup
i've also got XP, it used to work on my windows 98, and my uncles95. But it works on my dads, he has Xp too, but my pc should be handle a game made for 95, it sucks, but doesent suck THAT bad...

Say.. as for the older games which doesn't work on xp, have you tried to change compatibility properties? It should be working.

Oh, YES! I have tried it about 10 times. Iīve also changed the settings on the configuration utility for millions of times, but they still donīt work.

1. right click the icon for the game
2. go to properties
3. click on compatibility tab
4. check the box, and select windows version in the compatibility mode section.
And thats it

Bet im becoming annoying now, arnet I?
it dident work sadly .
is there anything else i can do? because on all my other games like HOMM3 cd music works on that!
