A Strategic Quest
I'll bet there still are people playing H1. Can those people share their thoughts on strategy? I used to think that spells aren't that important as in H2 or 3, but I played my friend on Four Nations today. I played barbarian with him sorceress. I had an army far better than his and I was preparing to teleport to his land and wipe him off the face of the map. But then he built another level of that darn mage guild. He had armageddon and dimdoor . He finished me off with those darn hit and runs! SI I changed my mind.
Another thing I know is that Sorceress is the best, with a really good L6, which isn't as darn expensive as the dragon. Besides, druids rule big time!

Hey, you do have Heroes 1? I've never played that game, but I'd really like to. Do you know how can I get it?

You can buy it. For any other ways of getting the game, use other means of communication than posting

But where can I buy it? I am 99% sure that if I go to a shop in Hungary, I will not get it. So, any idea?
I also hoped that it might be freeware now, cause it's very old.

Buy it from those nice persons which give you for a tenth or even more of a original prize...
They are really nice. We call them 'gusari'. Get yellow pages and you'll find some of them...
Also, they have new games too...
And movies...
If you don't want to meet those nice people, get yourself Kazaa...You can listen to mp3 with it...

Yes, we do, but I do not trust the internet. Maybe I am just stupid, but I am too cowardly to cast "Buy on the Net" on myself. Do I miss some hit points?
Anyways, it is far from being common here, I know of only a few people who tried it.

Man, buying on the net is more secure than one would think. I save all confrimation's and stuff, but still, go amazon, or 3do witha credit card and your alright.
BTW, whatever credit cards buy, go to the house the bills are mailed to, or atleast the card holders mailing adress.
You dont have a card-right. Sorry for being off topic, I'm trying to sway people from INET buying fears

I've bought quite many books via the net, and I never had to use a credit card. Here in Poland, we often have an option like giving the money to the mailman when he brings you the stuff you buy.
But hey! I created this topic to talk about HoMM1, not on-line shopping!

First of all, I'm woock, not wook. W, O, O, C, K. WOOCK.
Secondly, I already have HoMM1 and I like to play it. I don't want yours.

Ah..... the good ol' days of HoMM1 You just can't beat a dragon/armageddon or anti-magic/armageddon combo use in conjunction with a hit and run strategy.
And as a side note, Homm1 is better than Homm4 in many ways!
