The best protection you have from getting involved in a game of heroes with a person whose standards of honor do not match your own is your own good judgement. A no catapult killing rule up front might have helped too...
Also I personally think a list of standard rules might be helpful for these leagues such as no hit and run..red rush catapult killing....day of someones castle above a certain level..etc etc etc..players could always negotiate out of those rules if they wished...this would also serve to give the newbs some protection and maybe prevent cheating as well.
Id just like to add that im not saying this to take a side in anyones argument ...but to offer suggestions as to how these confrontations might be avoided in the future.

I know my 2 cents probably isn't wanted but....
Why is it everytime a player has a bad game or something doesn't go the way they want it to it always falls back on the admins or the tournament? Yes i know I am not an active player but i still know what i see and read day to day, things will never change, Ves why even try anymore.

lol no I have actually moved on to other games. I do still play a form of heroes called In the wake of gods 
BTW DiabloII and WCIII rules!!!!

no castle sitting

That's not the heroes game I like so much, but some castrated and limited parody of it.
I have a motto - everything that's not forbidden is allowed. I like to use all possible means and tactics in the game - this is what makes it so rich and enjoyable. Otherwise, you can play BB, build your main for 6 hours agains the AI, meet in the middle and the heroe with bigger stats and army wins the game. Thanks, but no thanks.

Yea, still hanging around. Playing heroes 3 once in a while. Heroes 4 long games and no rmg did it for me. Still remember some of our good fights tho

Hi all!
whats the problem here?? I dont understand this, but i would like to say what is the problem if someone sit in town, that is his right or I am maybe wrong? And why he cant destroy the catapult? He just want to win the game and its ok as long as he honourable and to consider the rules that u both have. If someone think that is stupid to sit in town, he can have a rule of that(no sitting in town (I think its stupid)) and if someone think that is not fair to killing catapult also u can have a rrule (not destoying catapult) and so on....
I dont understand whats the problem here.
If someone have no army - what should he do?? come to u that u can kill him?????? LOOOL man, he will sit in town what do u expect??--- baaah.
BTW sorry for my bad english.

Hi all,
My humble remarks. I have played both Splexx and Saint some games. My experience is:
Splexx is a very orthodox player; he has rigid rules and likes to play the same strategy with minor changes. Also he plays BB and mainly hero game which is a pretty balanced setting. Some would say he is too narrow and has too many rules, but all he wants is a fair and computable game.
Saint is the opposite of orthodox; he prefers wild solutions and aggressive surprising attacks. What he wants is 1) win 2) have fun (in that order). He does not care about balanced setting etc.. it just makes him more intuitive to see the other having an unfair advantage.
Both guys are honorable. I played one of my best games with Saint. Also, he is my excuse to leave H3 after a really crap game with him (I could have written a somewhat similar thread to what Splexx did); but he was not the reason  it was high time to leave. Hope the guy who got my Complete CD enjoys it.. forgot who it was
If games would last 20 minutes I would prefer to play Saint maybe. On the other hand, when I was an absolute noob I had a long discussion in game with Splexx how to break a critical block with small army etc.
My point is that I am surprised they havent had this type of argument so far: this shows how honorable they both are.
