homm5 and homm5 online seem to share the same graphics style, though. and as fabrice said, the graphics style will be like the concept art. imho it's logical, because what would be the point of creating concept art that doesn't resemble the product? in some cases it has been different, e.g. in the case of diablo2, but how can we expect e.g. the homm5 water mill to turn into something less extremely cartoonish in the product? not only the water mill but all the homm concept art seems to have consistent disneyland style. trying to be realistic i wouldn't expect any radical style change in the product.
now, if homm has become popular in asia with the graphics style it previously had, why did they need to change it? maybe one of the reasons it became popular in asia was that even the asians liked to take a break from the extreme anime exagerations (same reason many non-asians liked the game)?
