She doesn't bark at or chase birds (fortunately), but one time in the woods a grouse flew up from a bush right in front of her and she caught him in the air and just devastated the ****er.

Nah.
Wolves have stronger features and look more feral. The colours are never clearly racial like with dogs and they're lighter. Also, bigger and slimmer than elfhounds.
