When It Hits Home (same as above)

Ensemble Of The Restless (aggressive one)
In The Flesh (slower one)

Quote: Phosphoros
Lucifer
Stand Up!
In Praise Of The Morning Star
GGS, where is this from?
I am curious, as in the movie 'Dogma' Matt Damon's character refers to Lucifer as The Morning Star. Anyway, I had never heard that reference before, and had always assumed that this was something the writer invented.
Your sig suggests otherwise, since Phosphorus is greek for Morning Star. Tell me, do you know where this whole thing originates from?

@Sirzapdos:
That is a quote from Entombedīs (surprise, surprise) song called "Chief Rebel Angel", which is a good one too..
What Iīve read from somewhere, it goes in some way like this:
Lucifer ~ Lightbringer/Bringer of Light, which is referred as Phosphoros ~ Morning Star, or something like that.
But all these things in my sigs and custom status are just my "wannabe-satanism" which, in my mind, look cool...
But yes, the words do have something in common, I suggest you to search more with google if youīre interested!

Assuming the Diablo video games are at least somewhat factul, a Morning Star is also a type of Mace.
This is what I've always associated it with, until Grade 11 chemistry, when I learned that Morning Star is a translation of Phosphorus (an element), and until 2 days ago when I learned that Lucifer is also called Morning Star.

Actually, Lucifer means Bringer of Light, or Bearer of Light, or something similar in meaning anyway.

Lucifer is the Latin name for Phosphorus which was the Greek for light bringer, which was once attributed to the planet Venus before sunrise.
Gives new meaning to the phrase, 'Women are from Venus.'
Interestingly enough, some facts about our friend Phosphorus draw a parallel to our 'friend' Satan.
Quote: It takes fire spontaneously in air.
Phosphorus is very poisonous
when heated in its own vapor to 250oC, it is converted to the red variety

It seems if you combine words from different languages, things can get a little confusing... that's funny what you said about the women from venus thing... I've heard of those books...
So the planet venus before sunrise was once called phosphorus? And phosphorus means the devil, but also means bringer of light...

Yeah, you're right, but the Morning Star is also another name of Lucifer, for some reason...

I think so. He's one of only 3 angels mentioned in the Bible, the others being Gabriel and Michael, if I'm not mistaken. Plus, we've all heard of the phrase 'Fallen Angel.'

"Fallen Angel". I've tried writing a song using that title but stopped when I found others had done so before me. On the three angels: I have heard the least about Michael; I am really behind in my reading

Ditto about Michael. I don't remember where he comes up. Of course we all know about Lucifer, and it was Gabriel who told Mary she was pregnant.
