Heroes 3 Compatibility & AMD 64bit processors

Hi guys,
I need your help/experience on the following case:
I have to upgrade my pc since my current motherboard seems to have been burnt out ... I am thinking of buying an AMD 64-bit processor so that I can have more fun on programming, yet I want to play Heroes 3 with my new machine (the only game I play). Are there any problems with this setup? I mean, did anybody experience problems while playing on a 64-bit platform? Please give me your answer if you own a 64-bit processor, or a friend of yours owns one and know for sure the situation. Logically, there should be no problem, yet some programming techniques on 32-bit platforms might occur as "bugs" on 64-bit platforms (e.g. memcpy(), memmove(), etc.)

Thank you in advance for your help and time.

Regards,

P.S. to moderators: Sorry for not posting somewhere else but the problem is actually not an online-gaming problem with Heroes 3.

I don't forsee a problem playing heroes 3 with a 64Bit proccessor, they should be backward compatible. its really a 64/32 bit chip right, just like mine is a 32/16bit chip. and heroes is 32 bit right? im pretty sure its not 16bit. maybe heroes 2 was though.

End of Story

Seems like fortune favours the bold!

I bought the AMD processor without being certain for the outcome. Anyway, seems that Heroes III SoD works perfectly on my machine:
AMD Athlon 64 (Socket 754) with an MSI K8N Neo Platinum motheboard.
All patches and cracks work perfectly.

P.S.: One final question for the moderator that is going to close this thread.
? When I win a game the dragon does not appear in the screen where my score is shown. (The dragon appears before I use the patches.) Is this problem solved in some way? Thank you in advance.
