Griffin Conservatories H3
Hi,
I've been having problems with cons when I play Jebus Cross so I asked the question how to battle a full cons with 3 AA's and fodder, which would be a normal army end of week 1 or early week 2.
Here is what I got from Tigris:
Quote: Well Conan i must admit that as soon as i saw your post i ran upstairs and tried the whole thing. But in light of your latest IM in wich you said"....3AA's and some fodder(typical army for day 8 )" i think i have to do it again. What do you mean by AA ? Is it Archangel or only angel? To me that's Archangel all the way but that's not until week 2 day 4 or 5 for me(presuming we are talking about Jebus template)
Anyway I went against the biggest cons(200 griffins=4 angels) with 3 Archangels and 6 pikemen.I had orrin 7/7/7/7 i would say rather modest week 2 stats. But to win this fight under this conditions you'll need some magic. So eighter mass slow& cure(even without water magic) or mass cure&slow(even without earth magic).I would reckon that with this army/stats it's impossible to defeat the 200 griffins without cure.(cos you cannot use fodders to take retaliation). It's not a big deal to do it(especially with mass slow).Just keep on casting cure(even run away till you have enough HP on the top AA).You'll have to strike a stack 3 times(14 griffins/hit), but when the griffins are down to 12(after 2 hits) you can place your AA so that only that 12 griffin stack can reach them and kill them by retaliation, thus you'll win a strike on the big stacks.
It's not that hard, try it your self if you want!
PS:If by AA you meant Angels i would suggest to stay away of cons bigger than 100 griffins.
to which I responded:
Quote: ok, good tactic.
AA = ArchAngels, which can be reached by end of week 1 or early week 2. (Angelito showed me the process) On Jebus Cross, that is.
I guess this tactic is only used in Jebus Cross template, but it's still usefull.
Thanks
Any other input?

You all should try to find out how to fight those conservatories without angels. There are so many templates, and u wonīt play JebusCross for the rest of your life (at least i hope so..). In most of the maps, u wonīt build angels week 1, but still u can attack those conservatories end of week 1 or start of week 2. The problem about JebusCross is, all the players forget how to fight with cavaliers / champions, coz they donīt build them week 1. They use them to break into middle and for the endfight. But u also can use them very well in stores, caches and conservatories.
Try it and get your first angel not out of town, but out of a conservatory...

Try Angelito's Fiesta Ver. 1.1 for example... I had Castle and Medusa end of week 1
Talk about a wake up call...

that's a good point angelito. You wouldn't know how to take a 200 cons with a week 1 army would you?

I wouldnīt fight it...as simple as that. There is no problem to wait 1 or 2 days and get week 2 army to fight them.
