was this potential for danger the reason the book was destroyed?
and would it be dangerous to all, including the author, or only others?

okay... time for theories
the writer was working on a book that would make possible to create (insert random deadly weapon/device/whatever) and his friend called him to either slap some sense into him or to verify that it would be indeed as dangerous

i would think a bomb is a weapon...
what about a theory though... something along the lines of cold fusion, some kind of nuclear mumbo jumbo, genetics or a good ol conspiracy theory proven right?
EDIT: after some serious thought i came to the conclusion its one of two things:
1. a guide for micro$oft to take over the world
2. a plan for 3do to come back to life and snatch the might and magic rights from ubisoft
seriously... worst i can think of, is RMS getting a shave (no, not HC's RMS)

I had asked something about this earlier, when I mentionned "Dan Brown & the Davinci Code", but is the book written about the Bible or some other religious text...possibly about Jesus' life or something like that?

Did the book describe how to time travel?
I once a story that described how the universe would end if ever someone or something were to travel through time.
Luckily, the story did not describe "how" to travel through time, so there was no way for me to test that theory!

No nothing to do with genetics. This had not been asked though. Welcome JEBU. I believe this is your 1st vist to the mystery game.
To Leo. Yes this has to do with time travel. KEY QUESTION. So i can now tell you all that this will be a 3 part mystery now that you are so close to solving part 1.
Just to clarify Leo. Earlier in the game you asked if the book was based on new theory 2 which i said no, then you asked if it was based on long held theorum and observations, to which i said no.
So you might be thinking that with the NO answer to the second 2nd question is wrong since time travel is based on reletivity which is an oldish theorum.
However i believe my answer is correct in the sense that time travel involves going forward from one point in time to another and then back again. in other words travelling freely both backwards and forwards through time, and reletivity as far as i am aware only covers the forward part, and so new theorum wouid be needed to travel both ways, since using the same process would only propell you further into the future rather than back again. An oversite which we see in every sci fi film that has ever been made.

No the guy on the other end of the phone had not travelled in time, and the book was never going to be published.
