Anyone ever had one of those dreams where you are busting to go to the loo and you cant find a toilet anywhere except one that is on view to the public. I have had this often and i know from speaking to others that i am not alone.
my guess is that its your only protection against waking up too late to relieve yourself.
OMFG!!!
I can't believe another person has the exact dream as me!! and you're right it's always either in public sight or (in my case) a horribly dirty or crap covered toilet!! In the dreams im running from one "out of service" toilet to another...
The scary part is im lactose intolerant and in my dream I actually feel like I need to go to the can in RL, so I have a pending fear of crapping myself!! (man talk about giving you guys more bait to tease me!!)
Spiderman dream:
I've had a reacurring dream that I was myself but found out that I started having spider powers... now the wierd thing is that in every new dream, I actually improve with my skills but tall buildings get fewer or non existant! SCARY THING is these dreams started about 10 years after i bought my last comic, and 6 MONTHS BEFORE any trailer was released for spiderman!!
but most other dreams involve me running away from something... but im moving too slow to get away.
Im just there trying to get away but i can't
(if im walking, can't walk fast enough, on a bike where the peddles are too stiff, in a car that the stearing is soo loose or the breaks don't work!! )
anyone here a dream therapist??

Hmm, sounds like you were procrastinating.
Do you know what it is that you're running away from? And if not, have you ever tried to turn around and look?

ah yes my arch nemesis... procrastination
(Im gonna go post my inspiring insight on procrastination in a sec )
In most cases where Im running away it's from something more powerfull than me. Let me explain:
When I was super young (3-4) my folks... divorced... yada yada...
well I use to have a recurring dream that I was with my mom and my brother running from an authority figure (which today I would conclude was my dad)... funny thing is the dream would run up until a cerain point where i got seperated from my companions and end up going down some elevator... thing is, I can never remember what I see down there (after I wake up... I also conclude that it lead to the truth of the divorce (since there were a few X factors to the divorce that only today Im learning about)
.. another case...
there was an elderly man in my neighbourhood that use to follow young kids...(I had a paper route and would have to cross his path almost everyday...)
well ths guy becomes your friend by giving you a buck here and there... and eventually tries to invite you to his house....
Well I use to dream that this guy was trying to chase me down with his vicious dogs and Iwas on my bike but didn't have the strengh to peddle... I would never look back for fear that he would be right behing me!
(so how we coming with that therapist!!)

Well Im not an actual dream therapist, but I can see many of the meanings in dreams. To me it seems that you have come to a point in your life where you must overcome a boundry and in your dream your concious has taken on the persona of a character that you are familiar with. In your dream your powers are developing but the advantage you had of using the buildings is fading, so it seems that your conscience is telling you to find a new way to solve the problem that you have in your life.

wow!
having studied psych, I can really see how you can interpret it that way... kinda refreshing actually.
just to clarify (and I still think your analys is a valid one) Im not actually spider man in the dream...
I just develop those powers... but it's ME with the powers...
but good job... it's fun to get another's perspective..

The way that I enterpret this dream is, this may be a way that your conscience is telling you that this girl is not your soul partner and to maybe keep looking for that one true special person who really touches your soul like no one else.

To interpret that. Your dream was trying to show you that you may be reaching another stage in your life which is yet to be revealed to you. Your mind used the door in the game you just played to show a visual representation of that. It was freeky to you because you may not be ready to open that door, so take your time.

Well that doesn't mean that you were actually dreaming of the book, how could you dream of something that has not happened. You can try to imagine what will happen next but you cannot actually dream it. To me it is also a way for your conscience to tell you that what is next in your life may be scary so its telling you to prepare.
But as I said earlier Im no dream theripist I just have a way of seeing more into dreams and such than people think is possible.
[EDIT BY PANDORA] QP given, very cool that you're offering your analysis of these dreams!

Well, I have lots of dreams.
I once had a dream I was walking in my high school's hallway, and these terrorists (they looked like the Combine from Half-Life 2) ran into the hallway from a classroom. I quickly ducked into the literature room, and hid under a table. The terrorists walked into the room, talked illegibly to one another, kicked my table (it shook, but it didn't fall), and left the room.
Another dream I had a few days ago: I was at my family friends' house at night (BTW, they're moving soon), and a kid walkes up to the screen door. He says, "How is it in there?" I say, "Okay, why?" He says, "Could you let me in? I'm freezing out here?" "But it's summer!", I protest. He growls at me through the door, runs into it, and sort of bounces off into the distance. Then I walked outside, and, for some reason, my mom and grandpa were there. They were getting out of my mom's car. Out of my family friends' barn comes out my English teacher. He looks at me and scares me out of my wits. He starts running at me. I'm really scared, and I jump 20 feet into the air, and stay there. He waves at me angrily. I desend a little, and yell at him, "Are you a vampire or an energy-vampire?!" "I'm an energy-vamipe," he says. "So you can get your nourishment without biting people?" I ask. He laughs at me, "That is an urban myth. All vampries feed by biting, but energy-vampires feed off feelings." Then I woke up.

Ok I had this ring which has like buddhist inscriptions on it, and I was wearing it when I was on holidays and a small run through with the local authorities alerted me that they were after it, and if they were ever going to get thier hands on it it would be over my mangled body. A man with a short, hazel hair cut called something (just stick with Scott for now) was the one who charged me.
And so in the holiday resort there were three main destinations in which you could go to and visit, all interconnected by a small train system. When the police chased after me I fled and boarded the train, going to another area of the resort. But as soon as I stepped off the train Scott was there, with the Secret Service or something, lets just call them SWAT. I ran as they shot at me I knew they had no intention of keeping me alive, as long as they knew where the ring was. And so I quickly boarded the train system again and then got off at the lakeside destination. I got on the paddlesteamers in the river and began to paddle in a kayak down the river, which was getting increasingly polluted and dangerous, soon turning into white water rafting. I was surrounded by trees, native Australian bushland and the brown murky water was filled with branches, leaves and something else, goats. There was goats swimming in the lake, and I got stuck on a bank as I was swept there by the current. By this time it was dusk, and I looked up the orange sky to see a bright twinkling array of stars behind two big black ominous helicopters, with intense search lights scouring the countryside. The searchlight swooped down, and stopped right on me. They had found me.
I quickly jumped off the raft and run through the muddy banks, through the dense bushland with minigun fire shredding up the turf behind me, and I jumped on the train again. This time I was leaving the resort for good.
As soon as I was back in Melbourne I went to go see a friend who I knew I could trust. Speeding down the streets and into Chapel Street I got out of my car and found her place. A lot richer and more modern than I remembered, but I didn't care. They were after me. I knocked on her door and she let me in. I desperately needed money, and I couldn't go home. I needed to get out of the country. I explained my dilemma to her, and asked for just enough to catch the next flight to the Nedtherlands, or somewhere around there. But she burst into tears. Apparently her husband asked her for money just before he left her, and has been stealing money from her ever since. She obviously hadn't heard me, and I wasn't in the mood for relationship problems. I ran down to the nearest ATM machine and took out all the money I could, hoping I wouldn't be seen in such a public location.
I wasnt.
I got back in my car and drove to the airport, getting on a plane to the coldest, most deserted place I could get on, the only flight I could get on actually with no booking.
And so I arrived high up in the mountains of Nepal. And there they were. Two armoured hummers, a helicopter and Scott with a big rocket launcher slung over his broad shoulders. I made a run for it, up higher into the unchartered areas. When I was out of breath I hid behind a rock. There was an easy path off to the right of me down the hill, and a steep one down to the left, and nowhere to go up ahead, but the ridge provided all the cover I needed. Ducking down, he and a few other men arrived at the bottom of the ridge, which was only a few hundred meters down. As they would walk up one side of the ridge, I would escape by going down the other until it was a mad chase.
I could stay ahead of them for a short while, but they had years of training on me, and eventually I was caught. But not before I could hide the ring in a concealed location up the top of the ridge, behind a rock where I knew I could find it once I escaped.
They took me down the mountain to thier base camp. There was a can shaped hole in the ground about 20 meters deep and about 10m in diameter. They threw me down in the metal cage. He was screaming at me about the location of the ring, threatening to kill me, but I knew he wouldn't because he needed me to show him where it was. He pressed a button and out of the outer rim of the cage seeped out a green acidic liquid, which was burning my feet slowly as it layered the floor ever so thinly, torturing me. Still he had that rocket launcher slung over his shoulder, and I knew if threatened he would use it. I pointed in the wrong direction. I told them it was up there, hidden where only I knew where it was. I was needed to go and show them, and so they took me out of my tiny prison to lead a trek up the mountain.
At my first opportunity I made a run for it. The sound of pressurized air being released was heard behind me and a rocket flew past me, exploding on the rocks in front. I kept running, up the wrong way, barrel rolling to dodge thier bullets. His rocket must have triggered an avalanche, because the bullets were replaced with screams, but I dared not look back. I found where I had marked the spot, and I removed the rock to reveal my ring. It was safe.
THE END
It's a little sketchy on the details, after all it is a dream, and I'm not too sure about the ending as I may have woken up, but I didn't make any of it up because what would be the point in that. This is a real dream I had, and I thought I might as well post it here because it will help me to remember it. As of now I recall every detail in my mind.

I've had this dream as long as I can remember where I'm trying to punch somebody and I can't get the strength to hit them with any force... this probably won't make any sense to anyone who hasn't experienced this, but every once in a while I have one.
It feels like I can't propel my hand forward with any power... it's kind of strange and annoying.

To review TitaniumAlloy's dream,
It seems to me that you may have had this dream for a reason. Not because so psyco in your dream wants to chace you down and wants to kill you. I think that it maybe a way of your conscience telling you that you may have something the does not belong to you and someone wants it back. (I'm not saying that you stole something), it could be that it was left for you possible in a will and either someone else really wants it because it means a lot to them or even if someone left it for you, they think that you should not have it at all or yet.
