Games You Never Quite Finished
I started playing computer games in late 1995 and I've been at it ever since. I've covered a lot of ground, as I'm sure all of you have, as well. Nevertheless, I have failed to play a lot of games in their entirety. There are too many to list, so I'll just list several of those that I clearly remember.
Empire Earth
I've always enjoyed historical games, such as Age of Empires, but I did not enjoy Empire Earth as much as its predecessor. The gameplay was not as smooth as AOE2, and I ultimately failed to get a feel for the game overall. The campaigns took too much time for my taste, I might add, and I generally lost interest in them after several missions. It's a shame that very little came of this experience.
Fate of the Dragon
Despite my interest in China's Three Kingdoms Period, this game was very difficult to play. The gameplay was somewhat modeled after Age of Empires, although it was still very different. For example, each faction starts out in a city complete with a defensive wall; this is where the building of resources and an army takes place. To conquer other cities, the army needs to leave their "city map" and travel across the larger "country map" in order to reach other factions' "city maps". To add to the pressure, armies' fighting power and durability will decrease outside of their city unless food is constantly supplied by peasants by caravan. This is tedious, and it's only too easy to run out of food and get overpowered by invading enemy armies. I only made it through seven or eight levels before I finally caved to the difficulty. It wasn't worth the frustration.
Heroes 3: Shadow of Death
These campaigns are more difficult than the Restoration of Erathia missions. You often begin the campaigns outnumbered by the computer players, as expected. Sometimes you're forced to use stealth maneuvers in order to complete the objectives (much of these campaigns are based around obtaining artifacts). Because of that, you sometimes have to avoid the enemy the entire game. What makes this hard is that you often have no clue about where the enemy heroes are until they jump out of the fog and lay waste to you. Saved games are a must if you're new to the missions.
Unreal Tournament
It took me a while to work my way up the campaign ladder. The competition was tough, as I chose to play at a high difficulty level. After a while, however, I stopped playing the ladder because some maps were essentially hard to master. The level I stopped at was this purplish gothic castle floating in the sky (forget what it's called). It's often been said that Unreal Tournament was better on the looks than on the gameplay at times, so I guess that's true. Oh, and I didn't really like that Galleon map, either.

ive borrowed many games from the video store which i never completed, but i dont think this counts as i only had a short period to finish often complex games.
Of all the games i own, the only game i am yet to finish, or plan on finishing is
V8 Supercars on PS2. This is the one game i have yet to master full control of, and do not intend to. To be honest it is probably my least liked game, and so the interest is just not there to win every track and advance to the final tour of the game..

i think my inability to finish games is beacaues of my ability to gain new games constantly. i was playing Cm 03/04 till i got M&M 9. i had almost finished that when i got caesar III. i recently got kings bounty and HOMM1. i should be getting a new game 2day. it just never stops for me.

games I never finished, are in no specific order
Final Fantasy, III(6jap), V ,VIII, X, X-2
Final fantasy II took me 7 years to complete, (I keep all my save games, so i ended up going back to FF II about 7 years later to finish the game) same with Grandia II on my dreamcast, played it till the final battle when I got my DC (bought it at 350$ :S before PS2 came out)then finished it last summer because i was donating my DC to charity, and it was bugging me.
Crono Trigger took me several years as well
FF V I was in the process of continuing it, but lost my memmory card, so i gave up on it.
Warcraft III I only played 1 campaign before going online, and never looking back.
C&C RA2 I played the soviet campaignes but lost my allies CD.
many many other games too, but mostly RPG's I tend to get bored once my troops get to the invincible stage.
another game that bothers me that I never beat, was the bonus level on StarCraft Broodwar, level 10 as zerg. it seems impossible, but I havent played the level in years, so maybe I just wasnt very good :S. my CD is 2 scratched to read anymore, so I cant play it.

Diablo 2 Exp
It's gonna take me a while before I beat the Hell difficulty. Melee is certainly hard for that sorta job, and I guess a Tesladin isn't the easiest character to make quick work of it. I'm trying to gain levels and gain better items; hopefully, that will improve my performance (ugh, sounds like a Viagra commercial).
Hoyle Casino Empire
I cannot beat the blasted Pirate Cove casino. Half of the level has you in severe debt, and you only have a year and a half to generate a huge profit. I replayed this level many times and got close to beating it, but I always ran out of time. I got so frustrated with this that I stopped playing the game.
The Settlers IV
This game is fun, but it's very hard at higher levels. You only have a limited amount of time to build your settlement before the enemy attacks, so it's easy to mess up. The hardest thing for me is to get everything ready before multiple enemies start coming at you. Making weapons isn't the fastest thing you can do, so there's a problem getting an army with such short a time frame. Oh, and the Dark Tribe grow to massive numbers really quickly; it's just ridiculous.
Rollercoaster Tycoon
This was a cool game, but the later levels started to drag because of all the major landscaping jobs you had to do in order to put in the cash-cow rides. I'd pump so much funds into flattening the land that I'd go into debt (or severe near-debt) before I could make anywhere near a fair amount of money. And by the way, I was never terribly good at designing my own rollercoasters. I guess that took a lot of fun out of it.
Redneck Rampage
I only got this last year, but I've always wanted to play it. I didn't realize the game would be this hard; it's very easy to die with the lousy controls. The jerkish movements are in stark contrast to the quality found in Duke3D, Shadow Warrior, and Blood. Oh, and didn't Redneck Rampage come after all those games? Anyway, I got stuck on the level where you have to navigate the sewer system. I lost myself in the maze and all the underwater areas started to get on my nerves. So I stopped there, unable to find the motivation to continue.

I finished UT2004 just. the last level is so hard, but I managed to get one kill off before Malcolm could, and then hid in a good hiding place (scared ****less) the rest of the game until the time ran out
I never finished H3 completely either.
Morrowind, man, didn't get NEAR finishing that.
Another game I have never finished (not through lack of trying) is Super Mario 3. It's hard. Even though I know all the secrets of world skipping lol
