Poll Question: What is your favorite Might and Magic?
What is your guys favorite Might and Magic game?
Mine is Might and Magic 7, because of how you can chose your path, and how the land is so huge and you could never find anything all in one day.
I also like Might and Magic 8, even though the land wasn't (but some parts were awesome) so great and it was really easy and slow, I always loved the choices for your party, and how you could pick up different people along the way and disband them at any time.

I hate those people who when you're new and you post what you think is a good idea and then they smack it down with a snappy "this has been done so many timez beforez!!!". Now I can see why they do it, but I won't.
As most of you should know, Might and Magic VIII is officially the best game in the world.
The dodgy graphics are fun, and I love exploring things like clearing out the dragon cave for no reason and finding artifacts in trees or the Vault of Time. The inventory screen is the best out of any of the M&M series. I mean, they go a few steps better going from 7 to 8, and then they run back about one hundred to 9 when they make your inventory portrait look nothing like you! It also has the greatest range of NPCs and character creation options out of them all, which again begs the question as to why make even less racial choices in 9 than in 8.
I have all the Might and Magic games.
The first 5 are fun for a bit, I have M&MIII on my PSP and 1 is just hilarious (basically a text game).
6 I really didn't like at all, especially with the human faces which contains NO good portraits and terrible character development.
7 was good. Good exploration but the towns were repetitive and where the graphics are good in 8 they are not in 7 which is natural but then sequels are meant to be better. There is not much bad about 7, just a lot is good about 8.
And 9, I liked the graphics, but it's a whole different type of game really. They took away the people actually living in houses and it's very glitchy. Also I already mentioned how they dumbed it down with the less options in gameplay.
Oh, and in 8, it's not possible to get every single artifact. I would know, I was so close to it too, but they eventually stop re-appearing as artifacts, and are replaced by dodgy 1 gold items. And you can get infinite Terminus and Spiritslayers too, which are two of the most powerful weapons in the game.

my favorite M&M is VII, this is the first one i played and it took me a long time to finish it, thats probably why. i dont like some of the monsters in VIII so thats why i like VII better, and i've finished it both ways too. i also liked the way u chose characters in VII at the begining instead of throughout the game.
