So Long...and thanks for all the Naked Girls...
I once wrote that I didn't like all these fare thee well, goodbye threads so I guess I will be a hypocrit again(big surprize, I know).
I love the HC.
I have greatly enjoyed playing around in these threads, and telling a joke or two.
Most of you may say that I have already left, awhile ago ... and you would be right. I stopped posting because things got uninteresting. I have to be in a the right mood to spend time reading posts and then generating a response, and it seemed that there were fewer and fewer people who were writing things that would start my engine. (Also I was extremely busy in the realworld which limited time I could devote to HC).
But I did ghost around every now and then just to read some stuff and see what the axis of evil was up to.
I will address a couple of points which may now be dated but I have been remiss in keeping up with things.
HC is a community. Not a dictatorship, however benevalent it maybe, I know that one person has been footing the bill, but the goal was to build a community. The HC belongs to its members, excommunication of percieved undesirables is always a bad thing. I don't like bans weather it be ozzy, wesly, andi, or stivan. Each of those people were once good active posters who added alot to the community and made it interesting. As we take away the spice of divergent points of view we create an atmosphere of boring milquetoast.
HC did have a hayday or golden age, It was back before Heroes 4 came out and we were all anticipating a great new version of our favorite game. H4 sucked and it sucked the life out of HC for awhile. Some stayed and made this place a fun place to be but through attrition fewer and fewer remained. It seems to me that the average age of posters began to go down.
I miss reading the posts of my virtual friends, and I fondly remember all of you.
So I say goodbye...(although I shall probably ghost around every once in awhile)
...and I'm always looking for a few good naked chicks to talk to...any volunteers?
