Well, im pretty good at making maps that work well, atre challenging, and fun to play. I'm in the midst of making it an XL map, so when i complete it (which takes a LONg time) i wanna let someone try it out and tell me how it works

Go to MapHaven, click Site Map and find the version you want (H1-H4) and then choose Submit Map.
Your map should be tested and have a standard READ ME file. In addition, you have to fill in the Details page at the site before uploading.
Finally, I think you have to create an account and be logged in, too.
Then wait for the admin to approve your submission.
P.S. It's easier than it sounds.

It's just a shame to see all the great HoMM3 map sites disappearing one by one. I know many of the site managers are doing other things in their lives and that's understandable. With the release of Heroes V, you would think that HoMM3 would'nt be as popular anymore. But, believe it or not, it still is. And the HoMM3 maps sites continue to errode. Pol and I, over on the Map Archives, feel blessed to have collected as many maps as we could to keep the HoMM3 community happy with continuous gameplay. Most sites I've gone to, to collect maps for the Archives are gone. And I just can't believe it. And we always listed the Links to the sites where we got the maps, so that the player could go to that site and find other maps to play as well. There are only a few real good HoMM3 maps sites left out there, so let's hope that they stick around for some time to come. After all, there are more HoMM3 maps to play than any other Heroes games in the series.

Hello.
I have a little questions. Is there any place from where I can download the Heroes III original campaigns (Elixir of Life, Seeds of Discontent etc.) as custom campaigns.
I want to edit them a little, that's the idea.

Use Regedit to extract all H3c files from H3bitmap.lod and H3ab_bmp.lod for AB campaigns. Once you extracted them, open them with h3ccmped.exe, select every location and export the map, change the map, and import it again in the whole thing. Then place in data and play it as a custom campaign. Or in maps folder, don't remember.

An important question
I play heroes of might and magic III with no disc. Am I able to play these nice maps?
PS: In my HoMM3, there are all campaigns (SoD, AB, RoE) and also single-player-maps which were already in there when this game was installed.
If you guys need more information, I will tell them! Just ask bravely!!

hey there,
I've recently started playing heroes again. And I've been looking for a map I played some years back. It was an SP XL map where u start with any castle you please on an island with all random monsters around(lvl 1-7) with about 5 random (maybe a few more or less) creaturebuildings. It was a very well made map. Your closed in on the island at first. Therse a flagtent u must visit to get off and theres a huge maze like underground with lots of monsters/artifacts and teleports.
I thought the title was something like 'impossible island' but I can't be certain of that. I've looked at all the sites I could find and map packs I've downloaded but haven't been able to find it. If any1 recognizes this description could u please reply here..

I would like to download these maps in here:
http://www.maps4heroes.com/heroes3/maps.php?keywords=&type=The+Shadow+of+Death&size=&difficulty=&sort=2
but I am not a computer-wizard... So, after downloading what should I do for playing these maps? Or are they ready in the game when they have been downloaded?

"Copy and paste" them into the "Maps" folder under 3DO/HeroesIII Then you will see them available in the selection screen.

I just downloaded a map, but where can I find it from my file ? The map is called "Endless Struggle"
E: well I found it, it was already in "maps" folder... But it was named "Endless Struggle.ZIP" and I changed it to "Endless Struggle.h3m" and so it seems like other maps But.. I did not find that map when I started playing a game... It was not in the list ? What should I do?

You're not supposed to RENAME the file, but to UNZIP (extract) it.

Okay.. I changed it again to "Endless Struggle.ZIP" (I hope that would help..)
Then I have to go www.winrar.com
What should I do then ? I do not know how does that site work and how to "UNZIP" the file ^^

Well I think that I have downloaded winrar already
I did like this:
3D0 --> Heroes of might and magic III --> maps
Then I doubleclick the file "Endless Struggle.ZIP" and a new window appeared. Then I select:
"File" --> "Select all"
After that, I click "Extract to" and the third window appeared, it seems like this:
Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Then I click "OK" but... Then a message appeared and it says something like this: "Cannot create folder....."
Did I make something wrong ?
