OF VETS AND NOOBS
I'd like to ask people what there personal opinions are regarding the heirachy of HOMM3.
At the very top are the "VETS"and at the very bottom are the "NOOBS".Now,i am aware that there are as many different opinions on noobs as there are vets, regarding possible secondary skills .
For instanace, whilst the Noob can be known to say things like "room 4 go room 4 go room 4 go" ,what secondary skill would u assign this Noob for his tenacious behavior....advanced offence maybe???
while the more wiley VET might use phrases like," rdm medium anyone?,anyone for tribes?,2v2 anyone?",basic wisdom and basic offence? This is not intended as a serious thread, but i would appreciate peoples ideas on where the line (if there is one ) of where a person stops being a noob and begins what the next rank is.I mean,we are not governed by the various titles that tournament users decide that we deserve,we are governed by our opinions of eachother.so tell me plz people, what is a Noob/Vet in your opinoion.

LOL, good thread.
I would say eagle eye is the 1st skill required, see what magical words/phrases the vet uses and if ur smart u have a certain % chance u will learn it.

interesting thread stevei think there are many stages to pass before the big V and people could be in between too of them First you are a noob which is a word for the welcomers around then i reckon you become a rookie which is like a person who plays like a noob then you become average kind of in the middle stuff then you are intermediate then expert then vet the god then legend then invincible lol

here are my thoughts on possible advancement from NOOB to VET:
1ST visit =Day1:
"hi people, who wants a piece of me?.....im the daddy, ihave beaten the computer on hard in 3 months, room 4 go,room 4 go" followed by,"why wont it work????" followed by"HE CHEATED ME...."....."solmyr is the man"
HE HAD ARCHERS DAY FIVE!!!!"
now this is indeed worthy of advanced offence.
LEVEL 1:NOOB
played a few games =Week 1 day 3
"Whats TOH?" ......"why can't i use necro?"....."Looonngggg gaaammmmeee".
Now,obviously still problems with etiquette but i think 1000 experience can be granted.
possibly eagle eye as mentioned?basic learning?other crap secondary skills?lets give this guy basic luck for a laugh.
LEVEL 2:NOOB AND KNOWS IT
level 3?

Level 3, basic diplomacy. The n00b's language gets a bit more 'diplomatic.' He realizes that not choosing Solmyr is no grounds for calling the opponent a fool, since Solly is the ultimate (A.I.-)killer and all.
The "I am the best; who wants to feel some pain" gets replaced by: "new player looking for other new players"
So lvl 3: basic diplomacy.

ok,we now have a level 3 heroes player with advanced offence, basic luck and basic diplomacy,he is in the early adolecent stages of heroing, almost a kind of puberty.
LEVEL 3 HEROube.
OK a few more games down the line and we have reached week 1 day 7.
about this time the our guy has started to realize that playing against experienced players almost certainly means a loss, sets his sights on an easier target and makes his first win (good man),using his diplomacy skill he even manages to convince his target to register for a league and scores some nice point,"you'll get more games if ya register for a tourney, let me guide you throught the process".
Our guy it seems is a stayer,he's gonna be around for a while, and he is learning how gratifying a win can be,also,he is starting to be more and more selective regarding who he plays because he wants his record to look nice.at this point i think it is fair to award basic tactics.
level 4 hero week 2 day 1.........?

ok then the kid just got too week 2 day 1 and has learnt tactics and diplo and other things maybe next he should learn basic inteligence he gets more experience from his games then just the pleasure of winning and learns from his mistakes ..... or he could start playing jebus and learns that you dont need resources or gold as a starting bonus so he uses artifact and then realises how rich jebus is and could learn basic estates thats my contribution to you virtual noob

Time for our hero to get a spell book.
In that book: slow, cause he sure is not ready for all the rushers, he likes to build gold first for nice slow games. Dispell: need to get rid of all the dumb spells he has on himself. View air, while flat on ur back after yet another defeat it's good to look at the sky. View earth for the same reason. and haste to quickly learn more and more.

Hmm yes,"those who never try to understand"...Life as a noob,ya thinking that the lavel 1 player is content to remain at such a level and never win a worthwhile game?....Show me such a player and i'll show ya a 0-50 win/loss record man, lets get our hero moving guys....I award him Logistics simply because he seems to be more aware of his surroundings than SOME are.
Now we are motoring and are gonna start leveling up at speed.....i wish him all the best

I have played heroes 3 online for 3 years, about 500 games and never wanted to register for anything competitive . Fun is the way for me, I have been able to find many guys who are great at the game and don't compete too. We are spending great time playing and chatting through the game and we can kick any Zone dude who wants to try, back to NOOB reality .
Don't be too confident about your skills cause you can never know who you might battle with.

You are not the first and you wont be the last that wrote/writes stuff like this. Within the last 6 years none of those could match up in reality with their statements and got crushed like nada.

Players on the Zone play only jebus template and nothing more. When they try playing other poorer templates they can't handle the money problem get messed up armies and crumble like cookies.

Well over the years different conditions of gameplay got popular. There was even a time when players played Random with very restrictive resources on 200%. A veteran -whatever that is (for me its a long time TOH player with above average results)- will surely be able to play not only Jebus. I doubt uve played any Veteran.
