good one :-p while being a vet i can remember the gradual change from noob to vet. i think when the noob starts to realize that not everyone is cheating and actually tries to learn what there doing wrong.this is when the change takes place

Yes,jebus is popular its a nice power war temp thats based on speed and relies heavily on good chaining,makes a different aspect to the game than scrimping and saving.my point is that playing jebus doesn't make you a noob,u wanna try calling players like The Saint BG and others they are noobs???LMAO
The fact is that both vets and noobs alike play poor and rich temps.
Also,dont talk about the skills of players that ya never played fool,thats EXACTLY how a noob behaves because they know no better

I also think it has nothing to do with Vet or Noob to play Jebus template. For me, itīs just a question of time duration. I dislike Random medium maps, coz if u have of a poor start (no 2nd level dwell prebuilt, no shooters, no woodpiles in front of woodmine etc...), u wonīt have a chance against your opponent, coz u lack in time and in area to equal that again.
So the only Random Large template (i have knowledge of) which can be played in 4 hours or less is Jebus. And 4 hours is the normal amount of time u have during the week (i guess).
But its true, noobs (or better "new to online") would learn much more by playing harder templates like Extreme, Extreme II, Marathon, Frozen Dragon and all these. Resource management is much more important on those. If u have more time than 4 hours, try one of them...u will love them..

well.. I've started all my posts on this thread joking but now since the last 2 posts were serious I will try to be alike (trying to ignore xarfax otherwise I will laugh all day ). I think, and it is important to read again that " I THINK" , that the difference between a noob and a vet comes to when both face a difficult map. why? because a player with no experience will find a difficult map, impossible.
Of course , the difference comes on rich maps too, because a noob (please read : not enough experienced player) will NEVER be able to develop as fast as a vet will be able, will never be able to gain if not 100% of the advantges he can get on a rich map, at least 50%.
and so on.
And more, honor doesn't have to do with vets or noobs, but it has to do with the pleasure or not to play it, with the way people are in real life not only when playing games or so on.
PERIOD.

I'd say a vet is someone who played and played well before that revolutionary Jebus template was made..
And if they played well before the hit & run discussion then they are oldtime vets too.
