When to start trading...
Howdy all,
I'm pretty new to the game (the CCG that is) and have been getting familiar with it over the last few days. As I've been sorting my cards and checking them off against my handy lil' cheat sheet I got to thinking... when do I have enough of the cards? When should I start pitching my extras into the to-be-traded stack?
I don't know if this is lucky or not but the packs I've been getting have almost all been in 3 alignments so I've starting to get quite a bit of dupes in those. My spells and skills are looking good but I can see that I'm going to have quite an investment in cards to get even a good start at heroes.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks

Keep in mind that heroes are just a collectible. There is no difference from one to another of the same class. So trading there is just for fun and/or preference of a named figure from the CG.
As far as the other cards go, try to get a decent level of each major unit card. Maybe 16 of each Level 1, 8-12 of each level 2, 6-8 of each Level 3 and 4 or more of each Level 4.
But you really need to get some games under your belt to determine which cards you really like in your armies and work from there.

That's a good question I don't collect heroes for the sake of collecting so I'd throw multiples of the same class in the trading stack as soon as you have enough for the decks you want to make (rather than just multiples of the same named hero). Be careful though because you never know when you might want to include a hero of a different alignment in a deck. For instance knights (from both life and death) and are extremely useful in nature and chaos decks (where they can be hired) and Lords (order) are very useful in both life and death decks.
As for skills, put them aside when you have enough for your current decks but once again, combat (with maybe a melee sec skill) is useful in practically every deck and tactics (with all sec skills) and nobility (with estates) have very wide use too. Multiples of summoning skill might also open up an interesting nature themed deck.
As for creatures, I think the most of each class of creature you want in decks is as follows but I might be wrong
Lvl 4: 5-6
Lvl 3: 5-7
Lvl 2: 10-14
Lvl 1: 5-10
So if you get more than number of either a specific creature or just that number overall if you don't mind having different types of creatures in a deck, then I'd trade.
Don't take my advice as gospel, that's just my opinions

Yeah, that's lucky And you don't need too much of an investment, like I said in my review, 3 boosters of one alignment seems to gives you a playable deck. Any more than that is gravy.
