Help with campaign editor

I've been trying to build a campaign using the armageddon's blade campaign editor, but I can't get my hero to transfer properly between scenarios. He always starts the second scenario at level 1 with no skills or spells. Anyone able to walk me through what I need to do to get him to transfer with skills and spells intact?

Open the campaign file, then click on each scenario properties - there you can set crossover options.

In the next scenario instead of your hero, put a hero placeholder and set its properties to the hero you want (the main hero from the previous scenario).

P.S. If you knew and did all this, then I have no idea. Either it was different back in AB or it might be a bug.

Well, I tried updating my patches (never played online, so never patched) and now nothing even shows up where the placeholder hero is :-/

Nothing shows up in the game, right?

You must test the scenario in the campaign, not solo.

You must carefully set the hero's properties, too.

P.S. There's no need to open two threads about the same topic.

Campaign editor improvements

Hello I am new to this forum. I did participate barely once a really long time ago but had to make a new user ID.

I am wondering to the following: Is there any improved campaign editor in homm 3, as or for any mod or addon? Or alternatively, any new "background" maps for the editor (on top of the default ones - not homm maps but the background maps)

I play HotA and WoG 3.58 (for the last year)
