Campaign editor

So, I just started playing with the armegeddon's blade campaign editor, and I can't get my hero to cross over between scenarios. I just downloaded all the patches (never played online, so never needed to update my version of heroes III or armageddon's blade), and now when I put a place-holder hero in the scenario, he doesn't even show up.

Would LOVE if someone could help me figure out how to get my hero to crossover with skills.
