WoG - Overview: Updates, Patches
Dear all,
first of all let me thank you for the great work you are doing here with WoG. It is most appreciated. Thanks for keeping HOMM III alive.
I have been following the discussions in this forum for some time now and I could need some help to clear things up. Where can I get all those different Updates, Beta-Versions, Patches and so on you are talking about?
I did find Acid Dragon's Patch (great stuff!) and Big Joker's Commander-Patch (also very good). There is only one minor problem with your patches Big Joker and Acid Dragon: I did first install Joker's and after that I installed Dragon's patch. And after that every now and then the placeholder for random monster ("MON") is not replaced by a monster, but occurs in the game. Blocking some important things, cause when you try to trigger it, nothing happens. Is it possible that there should appear a commander? How can I solvethis problem?
Thanks for your help!
@ Big Joker: your work at Quicksilver looks great - is there already a playable version around somewhere?

Well,Vulpeculus,
I think the two patches are NOT get on well together with each other in one WoG .
Maybe you need the 358F WoG patch to reinstall your WoG?

Thx ;-)
I already did reinstall WoG. And now I only use Acid Dragon's Patch. Just wondered whether the two COULD work togetherbecause it uis a lot of fun having commanders as "ordinary" creatures.

Thanx For such a good opinion....
Well Those two patches surely don't get well together...
And about QS (quicksilver) so there's no palyable version yet...I didn't have time to finish beta..And not everyone will get it...Only Beta-testers..

@ BigJocker:
1) I am sorry for misspelling your name all the time (left out the "c"), just noticed it.
2) Really looking forward to QS, would like to be a Beta-Tester, but I'm afraid I don't know Jack about programming and the whole stuff (PC-wise I am just a tinkerer), so all I can do is wish you good luck and keep up the good work!
@ all: are there any other playable versions around (e.g. Forge, Bastion, Grove, or one of the other projects)?

well for being beta-tester you don't need much knowledge. You just have to be responsible ,have free time and WoG 3.58f. All you need to do is play WoG and tell all the bugs...

Well said, BJ. Serious testers are always welcome.

Aside from Acid's patch, all these projects are in the alpha phase at the moment.
There are also the Dark Elves and Water Town patches, but their teams are still discussing the concept...

Hello folks, took me some time, but here I am again. University keeps me busy.
@BJ and Vlaad: I am afraid time is also a problem at the moment. I'll have to move sometime within the next two, or three, months and don't know anything for sure, yet. However, I like to keep in touch and try to drop in here at the forum every now and then. If I find some time I'll let you know.
