History:
The Mythic Age
The Myth of Creation : the Void, the Cosmic egg, the birth of the twin Dragons of Order and Chaos.
The Dragon of Order creates the world and gives birth to the Elemental Dragons.
The "Elder" mortal races are created as servants of the Elemental Dragons.
Among them, there is a faction who worship the Dragon of Chaos and served to the Dragon of Fire.
The Dragon of Chaos creates the Demons.
The Mythic Age ends with an all-out war between the Primordial Twins, fought on all levels of reality.
The Dragon of Chaos is vanquished but not destroyed. He is jailed in the planet's fiery core, and his monstrous offsprings are cast out of the material world.
The Dragon of Order, severely weakened by the conflict, buries herself within the moon to rest and heal.
The Ancient Age
Elder Wars - The Angels launch a crusade on the Faceless. The destruction is terrible, and the elder races suffer tremendously. Early civilizations and kingdoms are destroyed.
The Primordial Dragons become myths and are slowly forgotten. Only the Elemental Dragons are worshipped.
The very few Elder mortals that manage to escape alive were divided and confused. The most believers among them continue to worship the Chaos and Fire, now in the form of the Sun.
The Demons benefit from the general confusion to establish a foothold in the world. Lurking in uninhabited places, they slowly gather their strength.
The Modern Age - Years of the Seventh Dragon
0 YSD The Revelation of the Seventh Dragon
Sar-Elam the first wizard reaches the conscience of the Dragon of Order who teaches him on the nature of matter and spirit and shows him the higher path of power. Enlightened by his new understanding, Sar-Elam becomes the Seventh Dragon.
3 YSD Birth of the Falcon Empire
Falcon the Great unifies the human kingdoms (founding the empire that will one day become the Haven faction). The Seventh Dragon prophesies that the Falcon line shall endure as long as the world does.
28-40 YSD Wars of Fire
First great demon incursion.
Most of the Angels perish during these wars. The survivors take refuge in the Falcon Empire, which is increasingly turned away from the Dragon of Air and toward the Dragon of Light.
The Seventh Dragon sacrifices himself to end the Wars and repel the demon incursion. Sar-Elam and his disciples seal the demons away to prevent their return.
48 YSD the Falcon Empire becomes the "Holy" Falcon Empire
– Founding of the Free Cities of the East
Emperor Brian Falcon gives absolute power to the Church of the Dragon of Light. The Human kingdom is renamed "Holy Falcon Empire". Dissent grows among many citizens who resent being forced to abandon the Dragon of Air. Many will leave the Empire’s territory to found the Free Cities of the East. The descendents of the folowers of the Sun headed East toward the Eternal Desert.
50-60 YSD The Years of Healing
Reconstruction from the Wars of Fire and relatively harmonious relations between the races.
62 YSD The Schism of the Seven
– Founding of the Dragon knights, the Blind Brothers, and the Seven Cities
Schism between the disciples of Sar-Elam, who can’t agree on the best way to follow the road laid down by the Seventh Dragon and, hopefully someday surpass him. Sar-Antor founds the Blind Brothers, a congregation of healers, seers and embalmers dedicated to the worship of Asha. Sar-Badon founds the Dragon Knights, a martial order disciplined in both body and mind.
A small group of the Blind Brothers (specialists im embalmment) leaded by Seth Tot, who as seeking eternal life to achieve a God's status, joined the worshippers of the Sun in the Eternal Desert and founded the Capitol of Queops. Seth Tot becomes the first pharaoh of the Desert Empire.
68 YSD The Marriage of Seth Tot
Seth Tot marries a powerful witch and begin the study of Order spells.
67 YSD The Prophecy of the Demon Messiah
Sar-Shazzar gives the Prophecy of the Demon Messiah, which predicts, among other things, that a half-demon hero will someday shatter the Demon Prison and unleash bloody chaos on the world.
71 YSD The Start of the First Pyramid
Seth Tot orders the constuction of the first pyramid. He believes that the shape of the construction would increase theirs powers and allow him to find immortality.
74 YSD Mysterious death of Sar-Shazzar
Sar-Shazzar dies in his sleep. When attendants attempt to move his body to the Necropolis for preparation and burial, it crumbles to ashes.
86 YSD The Burrial of the Seth Tot
After his death, his body is embalmed and burried in the center of the great pyramid. As the pyramid is not finished yet, his followers were not able to revive him. They swear they will revive him as soon the pyramid is ready. To protect the Seth body and all the treasures from the ancient times, a Sphinx is created and placed as a guardian in front of the pyramid.
104 YSD The Dragon knights become a secret order
On his deathbed, Sar-Badon commands the Dragon knights to build the Hidden Houses, and to retreat to them when they are complete. These strongholds are scattered across the world, dedicated to preserving the teachings of the Seventh Dragon, watching against any Demon activity, and training new Dragon Knights to fill their ranks.
No longer are the Dragon Knights to be prominent or visible in the world. Through the centuries, they will leave their fortresses only rarely, and only in times of extreme danger.
251 YSD Slavery
The construction of the great pyramid is taken longer than expected. In this rhythm, it will take more 500 years to be concluded. Amenophis Tot I (4th Pharaoh from Tot's Dynasty) declares that every soldier captured in battle should be slaveed and work in the pyramid construction.
454 YSD The Revival of the First Pharaoh
Finally the great pyramid is completed. Strangely, when they open the sarcophagus of Seth Tot, it was complete empty. Amsit Tot II (7th Pharaoh from Tot's Dynasty) sends his elite forces to find out what happened to the body. They find nothing concrete, but there are circumstantial evidences that Belketh, a disciple of Sar-Shazzar, is involved.
461 YSD Discovery of Necromancy
Belketh, a disciple of Sar-Shazzar, discovers the path of Necromancy. Necromantic experimentations begin in the Seven Cities.
486 YSD The Raise of the Mummys
Although good part of the knowledge to bring someone back to life was stolen from Seth's grave, the priests developed a way to revive the deads. Unfortunately, the revived bodies don't have the intelligence nor the appearance of the previous live owners. This technique is used mostly in dead slaves to create additional army units.
512 YSD Creation of the Beast-men
Beast-men (minotaurs, centaurs, harpies…) are created as servants, playthings, and guards in the Seven Cities.
564 YSD 2nd Eclipse - Rise of the Demon Sovereign
Total lunar eclipse. This time the Blind Brothers had predicted it, and the Alliance, helped by the Dragon Knights, is quick to react. Only a small band of demons manage to escape into the world. The names of the Demon Lords, Urgash’s first children, are heard no more. Instead, the name of Mal-Beleth, new and only Demon Sovereign, appears.
610-660 YSD Rise of the Necromancers
The Necromancer presence grows until they are a powerful political force in the Seven Cities
717 YSD 3rd Eclipse – Dragon Hunt
During a brief lunar eclipse, a band of Demons escapes into the world. They seek out the hidden strongholds of the Dragon Knights and begin a bloody secret war. The Dragon Knights are eventually victorious.
749 YSD The Truth
After centuries of doubts, a captured Necromancer General confirms that the initial power to create Necromancy was indeed stolen from Seth's tomb.
751-770 YSD Purge of the Necromancers - Civil war in the Seven Cities
Jealous of the power acquired by the Necromancers, the Seven Cities initiate a large-scale persecution, ranging from the seizing of their properties, to banishment, to the spectacle of public executions. The ancient people moved by revenge and by orders of Horus Tot III (12th Pharaoh fom Tot's Dynasty), joined the attack to the Necromancers. They want to punish the Necromancers for the Seth's tomb plunder.
A long and gruesome civil war ensues. The ancient cities are destroyed and much of the land is rendered uninhabitable. Nearly all ancient people army is destroyed. This is the end of the Tot's dynasty.
771 YSD Foundation of the Silver League
Survivors of the Seven Cities establish the Silver League in the lands to the south. Necromancers flee east to the haunted valley of Heresh. The few survivors from the city of Queops (that was severely damaged) regroup and elect Memphis Neith (a warrior priest) as they new Pharaoh. This is the start of the Neith's Dynasty.
813-822 YSD War of the Broken Staff
The Necromancers attempt to crush the newborn Silver League but their plan goes wrong and finally Heresh is invaded instead. The Necromancers are utterly defeated and their kingdom shattered. The ancient warriors find in the pillage the scepter of Seth Tot.
823 YSD The Death Temple
To the honours of Seth Tot and all warriors deceased in wars, a temple to worship the death God Anupus was build. The Seth's scepter is used to invocate the powers of Anupus.
843 YSD 4th Eclipse - Falcon’s Last Flight
Total eclipse. This time, the Demons storm the capital of the Falcon Empire and massacre the royal house. As soon as the Demons are repelled, fighting breaks out as the various noble houses attempt to claim the throne. Duke Ivan of Griffin conquers the bloody crown. The Empire is renamed “Holy Griffin Empire”.
893 YSD Reconstruction of Queops - The rebirth
The ancient peole capitol is finally reconstructed. The thin bonds with the Blid Brothers are now strengthened.
951 YSD 5th Eclipse - War of the Gray Alliance
Total lunar eclipse. Demon armies are confronted by a new alliance. Emperor Andrei Griffin pursues the Demons into the very underworld, and is killed. His soul is rescued by the Dragon Knight Tieru, and bound up in the artifact called the Heart of the Griffin. Andrei’s son Nicolai, aged 6, ascends the Imperial throne.
969 YSD 6th Eclipse - Queen Isabel's War
An eclipse not forecast on any calendar grips the Blind Brothers in a panic. They send a help message to all of their allies (including the ancient people). The Demons emerge in force and march towards Haven’s capital. This war will be known as Queen Isabel's War and is the topic of Heroes V’s campaign.
Faction general info:
The Ancient people are hard-workers that live in the sands of the Eternal Desert. Their greatest goal is to find a way to fool death becoming immortals to challege the Gods. Although they live in a inhospitable desert, they developed the technology to cultivate food from the burning sands. Due to the high temperature their costumes are as light as they can be. A hat is an indispensable accessory. They are also used to denote wealth. Gold is another accessory very important because it represents immortality.
They are great believers and demonstrate their faith by constructing great wonders. To do that, a substantial number of work is necessary. Slavery is a commom practice and part of the creatures defeated in battle are trained as new army units. They are devoted to the study of spells related to heal, curse, and poison. They also created spells to control the sand such as Sandstorm (to blind the enemy), Quicksand (to slow the enemy down), SandTempest (to flood the battlefield with sand slowing all opponents down), and Sandtornado (a sand attack that inflicts damage while knockbacking the enemy).
They are a peaceful people but they are always ready to fight for what they believe/care. They are fierce opponents showing no fear in the battlefield. They live and die with honour. They keep their promises no matter what. If a promise is not fulfilled in a man's lifetime it is passed to the most direct descendant. A person that brakes a promise is condemned to ostracism.
They believe that the pharaoh is the personification of the God of the Sun and follow his orders with blind fidelity. If a citizen could die to protect the city of Queops or the pharaoh's life he would do it gladly.
They have the Order Town as friends and the Undead Town as enemy. They blame the Necromancers for the Seth's tomb pillage. They tend to like the Haven and dislike the Inferno town, but they take no side unless they have a reason for that.

-> Might Anupus
Besides the powers from the non upgraded version, the Might Anupus will colect the souls it has taken and use them to increase the power of its attack. You can choose when you want to use this ability. The bigger is the number of souls [based on hp of the killed units] you have the more poerful will be the attack. This attack will be limited to an arbitrary number to avoid unbalance in the game.
As a suggestion, I would say +200%. From the killed units, every 100 hp will increase the power of the special attack by 10%. The cumulated percentage is also increased each round by 10%.
Abilities: Death Touch [similar to death stare in H3], Curses the attacker with bad luck, Special boosted attack powered by the colected souls
Speed: Fast
Dwelling: Mausoleum of Death -> Mausoleum of Souls
Feel free to give suggestions.

Nice town. Good to see egyptian mythology in practice. I really wonder why Anubis is so popular, even more so than the divine god Ra. You might even ask yourself who the heck is Osiris? Horus? Ptah? Set?

I´m a great fan of Egyptian mythology and if this town were included I would play it a lot... But I also get the feeling, that a stricly egyptian town would somehow clash with the Heroes V world as it is developed until now. One of the competition criteria from Nival was that you should explain how your town fit into Heroes V world and its history - you might want to consider that.
But I like your idea - and in the older Heroes we saw both sphinx, pyramids, mummies and cities of the dead...
Is it deliberate that you name your 7th level unit Anupus instead of Anubis?

You might also want to consider, that right now your faction ideology falls closely in between the Academy and the Necropolis. You will have to be really creative to somehow set them apart from these two. Go for it!

Amon, Amon-Ra or Amen was both associated with ´the hidden´ and the sun. Isis was the consort/wife of Osiris. Bast was a cat- or lion-headed goddes, like most other gods she had both a warlike and friendly aspect. The cow-headed Hathor was one of the oldest gods - a universal mother goddess in many respects.

Yes, it is. Anupus is just another name for Anubis in portuguese. I did not want to call the unit by its most known name. It could give an impression that the unit is too powerful.
I am working in the history trying to fit it in the H5 universe.
I will post some unit pictures today.
