ToH Homm5 Art Contest
As posted on the ToH news, and Age of Heroes:
With Heroes V's release no earlier than May, ToH is preparing for the new game with improved automation and a new look. Inspired by Nival's art contest, we are looking for some good artists to submit homm5-related artwork for the mainpage image map, and subtournaments. As for a general idea of what we are looking for in a mainpage image map, simply look to the mainpage image above, or our older black dragon image for the past season.
Prizes are $500 if the image is used for the mainpage, and $200 for every image used for subtournaments. The new look will revert to a 'darker' feel with a black background, so keep that in mind, as well as keeping the image not too cluttered, as space will be needed for text and menu buttons. Contest ends on March 31st, and payment is made via check or western union. Contact admin@toheroes.com for any more details & artwork submission.
Some amazing talent was shown in Nival's art contest, and it would be nice to have some original work applied to the upcoming Homm5 ToH Season.

Im not much of an artist, but I know how to use photoshop haha.. I may create something for the fun of it as Im sure there much better artists out there.

All ideas are open here, of course if I don't get anything that works out, I'll end up making my own pages, like I've done before. But it would be nice to see some high quality artwork on TOH.

just send them in jpeg format, even a sampler at smaller resolution is a good way...

Allready sent them , hope u will like it, personally I find it really interesting and good for the main purpouse but ofcourse,we, people are always subiective when it comes to us

To be really honest I admire what Rob's doing for this site, for this game.
But candy shouldn't be handed out for this sort of thing. First of all you have a chance to give back to both a game you (might) love (or have loved in the past) and to the site that made the game even more fun.
Money will never draw things you do from the heart out. To look at the site one day and say - look, I did that and now thousands of people enjoy it every day, that is priceless.
I'm just sorry I am not into editing that much, otherwise I would've helped.
P.S.: I did win money in the H4 Caesar, but the handle of "Caesar" is worth more than any cheque I would ever get. Just so you don't think I'm being hypocritical or something.

p.s if homm5 truly does become so active that it surpasses the activity levels of what we had in Season III & IV of homm3, there will be some pretty significant prizes (out of my pocket, but that is ok at this point).

Rob,
My submission was done a long time ago, through other artistic means. That involved a contest as well if I remember correctly, I just wasn't competing in it.
Maybe I can get Teacher to make something, he's the creative brother in the family.

wanderer, still don't have it -- I'm not sure why I'm not getting your emails. But you don't need to put the text in, or the menu items -- I will be doing that after. Its the artwork itself that matters.
