I welcome to HC.
I havent played H3 for that long I dont think.
Actually i think i have maybe longer.
Well anyway I have played H2 since the year that it came out which was in 1997.
so that is 9 years i have been playing the heroes of might and magic series for.
I first played H1 a little after I got H2 then when I got the Millenium edition I got to play the full version which is pretty good.
Well anyway welcome and have fun

I'm certainly not Hawaiian; I dunno who told you that. (Wait, I might know who...) Anyway, there are plenty of Asians here in Honolulu. Futhermore, if anyone tells you that I, Guitarguy, live in a grass hut and enjoy dancing hula all day, don't believe a word!

No joke.

I'm not exactly proficient at playing yet, but here's some advice:
1. Practice with steel strings if you can, so that your fingers will get used to it. If not just stick with nylon and practice with steel when the opportunity presents itself.
2. Try the open chords, like C-major (032010), G-major (320003), and D-major (000232) to start out, but keep in mind that you'll need to learn barre chords eventually. There are chord dictionaries you can buy/borrow that have pictures and lists of fingerings.
3. Guitar playing can be painful when you start, but you'll adjust to it eventually. Practice regularly and rest if you cramp up or feel tired.
4. Your can strum with a pick, if you like.
5. Keep your guitar out of the sunlight or heated environments. The metallic rod in the guitar's neck will expand and really mess your instrument up.
6. Keep a tuner handy. The strings might go out of tune during hot/cold fluctuations of weather, so be prepared.
7. Wipe down your strings after you play, since the body leaves oils that affect the instrument. Check online for some tips, such as what type of towels to wipe with.
8. Sadly, I can't advice you on how to change strings. I, myself, am a noob at that, so I think you'll do better asking someone else.
9. It's great if you can learn with a friend or someone who has some experience. I wouldn't recommend paying a tutor to teach you, since the pay rates are often high for an activity that can be done for free.
If you have more questions, perhaps we could start a separate thread?
