What screenshots? I guess it's not something that can be found in the demo? If so I could upload it.

Just did the inferno campaign mission, it's extremely quick and it was fun. Takes about two weeks. I'm in love with the cerberi! Gonna post a few screenshots in the other thread, but in links I guess. They are a bit wider this time.

LOL I don't need the screenshots, I want the sky back! In the demo you cannot see those gorgeous clouds (like in Haven, for example).

Edit: Here's an example of what I mean.

Instead of black Fog of War, they could introduce various colors for different terrains.

Thus a forest could have white FoW like real myst or fog. Swamps and wastelands could keep the spooky dark FoW with some gray and green overtones. The sky above lava rivers and volcanoes should be fiery red. The underground could stay black, perhaps even reduce the hero's scouting radius (except for the native Dungeon function, of course), while the cavern walls could reflect the glitter of subterranean ponds and crystals. Finally, imagine an Academy floating in the white clouds or in the haze of the desert.

Doesnt it look better?

Adding eyecandies such as the rain, snow and thunderstorms (with the impact on the gameplay or not) would look great. I guess it would kill the framerate on slower computers , but it would be just another option to turn off.

These so-called sky boxes were already in the game - just get them back and change the colors.

In addition, notice the beautiful effect of the aerial perspective (common in art) - the pale objects in the distance give the viewer a feeling of depth:



As the distance between an object and a player increases, the contrast between the object and its background decreases. The contrast of any details on the object also decreases. The colours shift toward blue (It is important to emphasize that aerial perspective does not blur the outlines or the markings of objects).

I didn't take part in the beta, so I don't know why the feature was removed in the demo. Were there technical difficulties (with camera and such) or was it merely an aesthetics issue?

Sadly, it seems the demo feedback hasn't had much of an impact on the gold version. In an exclusive interview to Celestial Heavens, Fabrice said:

Sorry I know that this is not on the topic at hand but I have got to say that the new creature pages are absolutely amazing Lord_Crusader has put some excellent pics in and the way it is all layed out is brilliant I can honestly say that I have not seen anything coming even remotely close to being this good on all the other pages.

Mostly strategy, while it was creatures/per day (though counted as per week, but they generated in week time) it was less possiblt to attack an enemy unprepeared or weak before day 7. However it adds not much of a difference, since creatures generated each day during a week or at the end of the week once still are somewhat same... The big difference is that when you capture a town on day 7, you can do it without a fight and loses, while in Homm4 there were creatures guarding it even at day 7.

And there was the sending out creatures to catch up with hero to make him stronger and you usually didn't keep track on when the higher tier monsters was gonna come unless it was really important. So you send some troops out on day 4 which will take 5 days maybe to catch up with your hero, then on the next day you notice that there's an extra efreet that came along so you buy it out and send it after since you think it could make a difference. Then on the 7th day you see your third black dragon just spawned so you buy it out too and send it off since that will really make a difference.
It could be really tedious.

(This would be on a map with quite few cities, and weekly production being like 1.3 per week)

I rather just have a hero chain pass it along to the fighting zone day 1 and be done with it.

I never got it on the Falcon map With so few spells in the game it will be easy to get though. Playing dungeon should be easy enough to summon them, but a knight sending after his trained archerpeasants may have some trouble with his mana.

Adventure spells appear on all mage guilds separetely and heroes can learn them without any magic skill, as they do not belong to any magic school.

Meh, third mistake in a very short while. I need to check before I post things since I was sure it was second level but it's third. I played it on the harder settings so ran out of resources to build a level 3 guild. Once I was on the overland map where the resources are I never walked down again so was no point in building it. That will mess up my expected build plan some since I'm not sure I can afford the third level too early. I know it's just 3 3 3 3, but that counts on the harder setting. I think I'll start to play on the middle setting instead then until I get the build order figured out.

It's good to know I'll always have it though once I reach third level, thought it had a 50 50 chance with the wasp swarm but looks like maybe the vessel of shalassa will be in that position instead?

I'm from Germany and a very big Heroes fan, but there are 14 School days and 4 Weekend days to the release of HOMM5 and I can't await this day . In the Demo I really can't win only one Level, not the Falcon's last fight and the Campaign also not. Although I played the Custom Scenario 6 Times I couldn't win. The enemy had already 30 Archangels and 54 Paladins and I only 21 Archdevils and 41 Pit Lords...But I try again and again and really It's fun .Thanks for this perfect Demo, i can't await the release

Unpack in Data folder in main Heroes 5 Demo folder. Be warned though, that you will be able to play only with people that also have that mod, not with others.

To 'uninstall', simply delete those files.

About the DEMO I've decided not to download it...
I think I'll wait the release...
I've already ordered it! (Collection Edition rules!!!)
Being busy I think aspectation will increase my will to play it!!
Requirements aren't low I think...
700MB isn't a few think to download I think...
I've searched online for updates and I think it will be a good game!!
Nice games to all of us!

I think its ok, but they shouldn't have taken the fifth heaven mission in. I'm fed up with can't playing with the Inferno champaign.
The units are ok, but I dont know why must I build the tavern for the kenels in Inferno. Because in the custom game I can't build the tawern, so I can't build the kenels too, which is a great disadvantage.
What I don't like either are the spells, their numbers. In H5 there are 40 spells at all. I haven't counk, but in H3 I think there were at least 60, and in H4 even more. People at nival must have played with H3 and 4, than why aren't there in H5 those great actical spells?
In this reply I wrote only the bad things, because if I wanted to write down the things that I like too, I would sit here till night.
There are lots of small and bigger things that make this game a worthy descendant of the Heroes of Might and Magic legend.

And don't forget:

I`m not sure if anyone found this bug in the demo, but... In the map Queen. I have cleared the whole map, taken the inferno town and moved may strongest hero (Godric, lvl. 23+) with my mightiest company near the gate. I have defeated the enemy there and transfered the complete army to Isabel, which was waiting near the gate. I run to Nicolai, triggered so the coming of Agrael. When he appears, he stands one turn still, which is your chance to attack him. He is strong, but you are stronger. His blood flows beneath your feets and ...what`s next?

At the end of every of your turns the cinematic will appear, how Nicolai is killed. But you can play, and play, and play.. without end
I have ended this after 10+ turns.
