10 Archdevils with RM attack Succubus Mistresses:

This example is supurb. When we talk about percentages, it is all relative.

That 60% bonus on RM is applied to the RAW damage. In the OP's examples, it HAPPENS to be cloes to the FINAL damage as the defense values more or less cancels out.

However, in more extreme cases, the RAW damage is already heavily scewed by the already-large difference between attack and defense (either way is possible).

For example, when the attacker's OFFENSE is already 36 points higher than the defener's DEFENSE (280% damage output), then the RM adds another 12 on top of this 36, for a total of 48 points higher (340% damage output). You still have that 340-280 = 60% increase on the raw damage. However, in this case, the bonus becomes 340/280, which is 21.4%.

A general rule of thumb is that RM is better than DS when the attacker and the defender are more or less on similar in strength. When the attacker is at a huge advantage, then maybe DS will be slightly better. This doesn't happen always, though.

I was aware of this - but still, you are taking into account large extremes of A/D difference (Archdevils which have one of the highest attacks, and Succubi/Familiars which are quite low) so I think that it is more reasonable to think in rather equal A/D terms. I think where DS really excells is with RM

it might be if you only had griffins & marksmen in your army, but for the other stacks it is much worse than Righteous Might ... think about angels & archangels ... no benefits from DS here
anyway after you cast righteous might you should use divine strength too.

Thanks for answer, forgot that they have fixed damage. Angels are soo expensive that they are always on holidays with me. Only the second hero could use them, I never take them in the main army because it's a waste of time and they could help in defense if I'm attacked.

I guess this is a matter of which spell to cast first since you will have cast both of them by the time your enemy's hero gets to go his second turn.
