Poll Question: Heroes V Expansion Poll - New Towns
This week's question asks your opinion as to the type of content we will see in Heroes V's upcoming expansion.
"What new town(s) do you expect to see in the first expansion?"
Perhaps one of the most interesting things to come out of the Collector's Edition was the map of Ashan, which revealed 2 un-qualified kingdoms. (You can view the map here). While an expansion has been all but confirmed, its contents still remain a mystery. However, there are likely to be a number of new creatures in the expansion to meet the promised number of total creatures in the game, which was meant to be "in excess of Heroes III".
With the passing of the ICTC, many town ideas centred upon the return of the Barbarians and the Nagas. An unofficial contest to find the best new Fortress was also spawned because of it.
Also in your choice you may want to think of possible racial skills, how it could be integrated into the storyline and how the magic system could be adapted to your choices.
Happy voting!

Personally, I think that there will be 2 towns included in the expansion. I would hope to see three of them (naga, dwarf, orc) but it may be highly unlikely as Nival once said there will be no orcs in H5 at all.
Thus, i voted for 2 or more. I will, as is said, post proposals of towns, whereas one of the them could be already seeen in Altar of Wishes, Dwarf Town Proposal
NOTE : I Do not know for true if this is fully correct, but from what I have heard while browsing the community, it was... Well, that was about seven months ago

Barbarian has been in since Heroes I and I think it was a mistake to remove it. I think (and hope) that it will be included in the next expansion.

Actually, there was 3 un-qualified kingdoms - or at least 3 new capitals, even though the one (Karthal) is in Ygg Chall, the former kingdom of the Dark Elves (now Dungeon). The other two kingdoms were of course Grimmheim (w. Thor Myrdhal) and Ranaar (w. Stonehelm).
Orc and Dwarf and possibly Naga would seem like sound choices for upcomming races.
Also, there has been a LOT of discussion on this topic in the Altar Of Wishes forum - for instance here, to name some of the more elaborate threats:
Suggestion for 3 towns - this is my complete set of ideas, with a Dwarf, Orc and Naga town and also a revision and expansion of the magic system.
Alternate Dwarf town
Old poll - and in-game refferences

Well to my opinion the Strong Hold town from Heroes III need to be back!the Ogre,Roc,Cyclops,Behemoth and even the Wolf Rider,Goblin and Orc(also the upgrated creatures)! It will be awsome to see them back!So I vote for Orc!
EDIT: Well if the Strong Hold is Barbarian so just know what I want to be back, because I voted for Orc..

i voted 2 or more...
i dont think we will see many new creatures (which is disapointing!)the new town will probably be something like that (to my dismay):
lv1 - halflings
lv2 - dwarves
lv3 - mechanical creature
lv4 - dwarven magician
lv5 - rocs
lv6 - cyclops
lv7 - dragon golems
and the other town will probably have - ogres, trolls, nagas, efreets, behemoths and old crap like that becuase from what i have seen in heroes history all creatures are reused repeatedly...

Voted for dwarfs, as they can be expected, basing on the map and Nival attitude [rather strict fantasy, we have elves and dark elves, so we must have dwarves].
There will probably be 2 expansions with 1 town in each, but I will be really positively surprised to see more

I voted for dwarves since Fabrice said in the interview we could guess the new faction by looking at the map and the only big territory which wasn't in the game is Grimheim or something which is a big clue as it is in old Scandinavian language(or at least the "heim" part which means home)...

Both Dwarves and Orcs are mentioned multiple times in the Calendar of Ashan. Nagas are also mentioned in the Myth Of Creation. I'm positive we'll see Orcs and Dwarves in the first expansion pack, as these would make an excellent pair of mutual enemies. Nagas might come later, possible as neutral.

Naga and Dwarf, and hopefully Stronghold and Swamp too (we know Stronghold and Swamp are paired, right?)!

My guess will be that we will see the Orc town contribute the role of the old Stronghold, with the Barbarian as the Hero. I don't know this possitively, but there are hints of a connection between barbarian tribes in the northeast and the Orcs, and it does seem like an obvious and sensible connection.
Furthermore, many gamers agree that it would seem obvious to have the Dwarves as opposed to the Orcs, like Law vs. Chaos. We don't know this for sure, but my guess will be: Don't put your hopes too high on a swamp town. The Dwarves are very unlikely candidates to live in the swamp, and furthermore, we see no swamp areas on the map of Ashan.

Yes, but remember the map doesn't show everything. The land mass continues to the east off the edge of the map. That could leave plenty of room for yet undiscovered countries/kingdoms/cities/etc.

I voted two towns. My guess is, and several others with me, that they will be a dwarven and an orcish town. As said before, they have been mentioned several times in the history, in hero bio's and in the campaigns. A third town would be awesome, but I think it will be highly unlikely. I hope though, that the dwarves and the orcs will not be mortal enemies, I feel that that would be a to obvious and easy choice. Having them as loose allies who opperate seperatly but with generaly the same goals would be far more original.

I think they will probably add a Barbarian town but it will be changed so it is now dominated by Orcs. Somewhat similar to the way the Dungeon town is now dominated by Dark Elves

new world town
I think they should have a new world town featuring Native American creatures such as a sasquatch whose specialty is not being able to be targeted by ranged units, thunderbirds, and the quetzlquotl (sp?) whose specialty is a chance of morphing attacking units into a random other stack. Example, they attack a stack of blood maidens and could possible transform them into sprites or even black dragons. Of course, it would have to keep the hit points the same to keep the game balanced, but this could cause havoc on the battle field.
