Ok, I am sorry to keep asking so many questions, but I have one more.

I got the cheat codes to work and used add_money.

It only worked one time. Is there a limit or am I doing something wrong? I have enabled the cheats numerous times, but can't seem to get this working correctly.

add_money will set your resources to 100 (and gold to 100.000). It will not ADD these amounts. So you can type it several times in a row, you won't have more.
But you can use
@SetPlayerResource(1, 6, 500000);
to set the gold to 500.000 for player 1. Or whatever you want:

to bind the key you'll have to go to the input file it is located in the Documents/My games/Heroesofmightandmagic/profiles/you'r profile,
put the line in the common section, the line is this:bind show_console '`'. When you'r done the input should be like this

bind show_console '`'

// Mouse
bind +cursor_x 'MOUSE_AXIS_X'
bind +cursor_y 'MOUSE_AXIS_Y'

Other useful bindings to use with the console are:
bind editline_paste 'CTRL' + 'V'
bind editline_paste 'SHIFT' + 'INSERT'
bind editline_wordleft 'CTRL' + 'LEFT'
bind editline_wordright 'CTRL' + 'RIGHT'

The first two allow pasting the content of the windows clipboard (you can put both or your preferred one). The 2 others allow to navigate quicker in the edit line (CTRL+left/right is a common shortcut that works in word editor, firefox, ...).
These lines might already be in your file, but commented (//). Just remove the comment to activate them.

Another one, unrelated to the console, that was already mentioned:
bind hide_interface 'CTRL' + 'I'

this one allows to hide (and show) the interface, if you want to take beautiful screenshots.

Do you realize that these codes are used for scripting as well? that they can be used to explore H5 features, to debug maps...

What should be avoided at all cost is cheating in multiplayer. But guess what: you can't do that with these codes!

these could be the problems
1: the line you edit in the files might be wrong.
2: you are in the wrong input, you're supposed too edit input in documents not Game_Folder

Are you on the adventure map? @Win() wins the complete map.
If you are in combat mode, and trying to win this combat only, and you are the attacker, then you should use:
@Finish(0)

Actually, this doesn't belong here, but nobody would see it in MapHaven: I'm trying to set up a simple Quest Hut with the "kill hero" requirement. What should I put under the parameters? I've tried Naadir, Muscip, "Muscip", 'Muscip' and MUSCIP, but to no avail. Am I looking at the wrong list of heroes IDs, or what?

So you set the objective to OBJECTIVE_KING_DEFEAT_HERO? Then you added a parameter, and you typed the hero name in the [0] line?
Naadir's internal name is indeed "Muscip". I guess you made sure that he was on the map. Maybe you should define his <Name> on the map and use this instead.

I had done all that, including a custom name - but it's no good. And it's not just him...

yeah..I can only set two of those quests..hero must survive and advance heroes..I like quests like was in h3

I would guess that the codes are the same on mac. Actually, I don't see why they would be different, unless the whole console is blocked. The codes themselves are also (and primarily) used in map scripts and there are no mac-specific vs PC-specific maps.

About quest huts, I didn't have the time to experiment yet, but I still plan to. If you find a solution in the meantime, please let us know.
