Nice
I wonder why Nival hasn't included the new IDs in the documentation as it even says "A2" instead of A1 for HoF. And then why did they remove the bookmarks from the pdfs? Hm...

Yeah, I noticed the lack of bookmarks as well.
In any case, they didn't document every command that exists (even if they do work), either. Makes you wonder why, as well.

Haven't seen that Modding Wiki before. It's really helpful, good work

Names in HoF
Maurice,
Only just read your post today. It was very informative and helpful; I thank you for your thoughtfulness.
Up until today, the console commands were working great. However, we've come across a problem today with the names in HoF - Ylayas' Quest: Dragons.
Sfidanza,
Since you wrote the guide for the console commands, We ask for your help. In HoF - Ylaya's Quest: Dragons the console does not recognize "Raelag" nor "Isabell" as they are listed in your code guide. Is it possible for you to check as to what names (or spelling) the games knows them as in HoF?
I truly appreciate the help both of you have given us. Your help has enabled my son to continue to enjoy what is probably his favorite PC game series.

You're right: the HoF versions of the heroes are used in that map. The codes are 'Raelag_A1' and 'Isabell_A1'. I'll add them on the guide.
A useful trick in this kind of situation has been given by Maurice in his post:
@print(GetAllNames(0))
will list all the names of the heroes currently on the map. It's usually easy to figure out who's who. You even have a shorter alias if you prefer:
@print(names(0))
I'm glad to be of help.
About the guide, credit goes to Curio as well, who is the original author.

HoF Names
Thank you so much for your reply. And many, many thanks to Curio as well...I've seen his name on the guide so many times, it just didn't click at the moment. Thank you all.

Maurice,
Thanks for the info on adding more creatures. The biggest problem we have is that, basically, my son just runs around the map fighting anything he sees...and usually getting killed by a stronger army. I'm trying to teach him to calculate his odds and develop some stategy, but we mostly reload and try a different enemy. Giving him a few strong creatures is what we did in HOMMII through IV. We tried it in HoF this evening and it worked great (wish we knew about it while playing V). When he gets low, I can just give him more without his hero getting killed and without his having a meltdown. Don't know what I do without you guys...Thanks.

Where do people find this stuff? I mean the codes and variables and things.
I bet it is mentioned, but I'm too lazy to go through 16 pages and check.

@skullman: how do you open the file? With which text editor? Do you have administrator privileges? Did you check the read-only attribute?
