Help Me
I have some questions about WoG.
1. In the map editor, there are some wog-artifacts but they artn't functioning because they have to be programmed by ERM. Could anyone tell me what blesses do these artifacts give to the hero?
2. Ther's an icon near the hero speciality. When i click it, it sais: "Your hero can have incremental bonuses if the God blesses him." What are these blessings and how do i get them?
3. I can't understand ERM. I tried to use it but it was a failure () and i also don't understand its help file's text. Can someone tell me the most important thing to know to use that scripter?
OK, i know that my questions are not short to answer to, but please help me.

None. Those are blank artifacts that can be scripted by mapmakers. If you put them on your map in the editor, they will do nothing. If you script them, they can give any kind of bonus you'd like.Quote: 2. Ther's an icon near the hero speciality. Let's return to the legends. They tell us that when Gods have learned about the broken balance in the world of Erathia, they have decided to interfere, to restore the balance of forces. For this purpose in Erathia, Emissaries – gods’ representatives were sent.

In other words, you have to recruit a gods' Emissary to get the bonus. There are four different Emissaries, but your hero can have only one kind in his army. The Emissaries grant + 1-3 bonus to the hero's attack, defence, knowledge or spellpower respectively. To get one of the Emissaries, you have to find its dwelling and defeat the guardians (Messangers).
For example, Emissary of Lore (bonus to spellpower) dwells in Library of Legends.
I'll let you discover others by yourself. Happy adventuring!
Sadly, the dwellings cannot be found in random and wogified maps, but most of custom scenarios feature at least one.

Only the first script is hard.
OK, here's a sample:

Translated into English, this reads:
This is an ERM script.
If any hero visits the object at 3/33/0,
check if he has the artifact and set the flag.
If the flag is true, display the message: "(name of the hero), you seem to have the armor? Perhaps you are the one I have been waiting for."
What are all those numbers?!
3/33/0 are the coordinates of the object (0 means it's on the surface)
-1 means "any"
2 means "check"
40 is the dragon scale armor
v1000 - the flag used here
%Z400 - stores the name of the visiting hero
etc
Some of them you can find in the WoG help files, others you choose and set. You can learn about flags and variables later, since you don't need them for your first script.
Other symbols stand for ERM triggers (!?) and receivers (!!) :
OB - object
HE - hero
M - text message
etc
You can learn how to use them reading the Help Files.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask them in this thread.

Hi again!
I have some more questions...
1. In WoG, in the "Orb of Inhibitition"'s (I'm not sure about its name) info box, there is a message which sais: "...And holds a djinn trapped inside it." What does this mean?
2. In the tavern, i saw a rumor. It said that an artifact can be created by combining the following artifacts: Breastplate of petrified wood, Shield of Dwarven lord and Centaur's axe. I tried to make this artifact, but it didn't do anything. What could the problem be?
3. What does this mean: "The Magic Wand will change equipped artifacts to another one weekly". Will it change my Tome of earth magic with an orb of vulnerability (for example)?
4. Can I write questions for the Sphinx to ask somehow? If yes, please tell me how, except if i need ERM for it
5. I Can't put Wog-type monsters in my hero, garissons, towns etc. in the map editor. Why?

Equip the Orb and on day one of the next week the djinn will make one of your wishes come true! Last time I chose to give double shot to my Sharpshooters! *bwahaha* Quote: 2. I think you need the Helm of Alabaster Unicorn as well in order to assemble Garb of the Forest Lord, which gives creatures every week.
The problem is there is no new graphics for that artifact.

The changes are random. Try it yourself! Here's the instruction from the WoG manual:
Location of Wand | These artifacts are changed:
Misc 1 | Head and Neck
Misc 2 | Left hand and Right hand
Misc 3 | Left and Right ring
Misc 4 | Torso and Legs
Misc 5 | Shoulders and Misc 4
1. Combination Artifacts and their parts are not transformed.
2. If a slot is empty, a new artifact will not appear there.
3. Artifacts that are forbidden from appearing on a map will not appear as a replacement artifact when a transformation occurs.

Because you haven't installed GrayFace's editor patch 3.0, available in WoG Archive I yahoo group.

Hi. Maybe it is surprising, but i have some questions.
1. The santa gremlins' ice bolt inflicts the same damage (regardless of quantity). Why?
2. The Scared Phoneix has an ability called "rebirth always". But when i played, it reborn only once, and not all of its quantity came back. So what does this ability mean?
3. In the map editor, there are 7 types of treasure chests. 3 of them function well, but there are 3 of them, which function as normal (money or XP), and one of them (the barrel) does not function. I suppose that they can be programmed by ERM, but I'd like to hear an experienced Wog-player's opinion.
4. What is the darkness ability (Darkness dragon)? Is that the same as Nagash's Darkness?
5. There's another artifact which can be assembled by using Diplomat's ring, Ambrador's Shah and Stateman's medal. These reduces monster agression by 1 each (by 3 altogether). The new artifact (called "Vestments of Authority) also reduces monster agression by one. My question is: Does this artifact give the regular bonuses of its components? Because if yes, it will reduce the agression by 4. (3 by components, 1 by self). In this case, monsters who has "savage" agression, will become "compliant". Is it right?
6. What is "Invisible cloak"? Is it a combined artifact? Or is it an "ERM-product"? (i have been looking for that cloak, but nothing...)So what is it?

Actually, I was wondering the same thing.

Yes. The hero with Darkness Dragons leaves a trail of darkness behind him. Nagash's darkness is dependant on his spellpower or knowledge, though. Here's what the manual says:
Radius of the shroud circle is determined by the following formula:
1. Take the lesser of current spell points or (knowledge x 10).
2. This number is divided by 10 and then 0.5 is added.
3. Minimum radius is 1.5.
Example: Nagash has a knowledge of 10 and 63 mana remaining. For the entire day, when he moves he will leave behind a black shroud with a radius of 6.5 tiles (diameter of 13 tiles). Possible consequences: In case the full current amount of mana is more, than a level of knowledge*10 each day is automatically subtracted 2 mana.

I think yes. Why don't you make a test map and confirm this? Quote: 6. What is "Invisible cloak"? Is it a combined artifact? Or is it an "ERM-product"? (i have been looking for that cloak, but nothing...)So what is it?
You can find it only playing my "Clan Wars" map. It is an optional quest which grants you safe passage through the blue player's territory.
It's not really a new artifact - I've used an empty slot in the current list.

I'm pretty sure I tested this and the number of santa gremlins does affect the damage but it's not every gremlin, it's whatever the multiple is (might be 50 or something--I don't remember).
So try it with a small number and then with a significantly larger number and see what happens. I think you'll see an increase in the damage.

According to the New Features document, it "Has one 100% resurrection." so it should have all its quantity come back from the sounds of it. Are you absolutely certain it didn't?

All chests (aside from the barrel) are normal treasure chests unless scripted. Two of them are already scripted in WoGify. The barrel has been used in custom maps but not yet in Wogify scripts.

I've just tested it. A stack of 1 deals the same damage as the stack of 99. The increase in damage does depend on the number, though:

I think it was a misunderstanding: the Supreme Phoenix always comes back, but not in numbers. I believe that's what "100%" stands for. It refers to the fact that it differs from the normal Phoenix, which has a chance to come back.
I've also tested the Vestments of Authority (the new combo artifact). I chose Enhanced Artifacts in the menu and wogified a map. First, I wasn't able to assemble it (at least there wasn't a text message). Second, the three diplomacy artifacts did not reduce the monsters' aggression like it is explained in the descriptions. Neither customized nor default monsters would join me (unless they had been set to "compliant").
Finally, my Rogues kept giving me the wrong (?) information.

Hi.
Guess what! A question.
1. In the new WOG map editor, the commanders appear as Lizard warriors (all of the 8). And when I Start the game, the situation is the same. But if i Right-click on them, they are alright (just like in the hero screen). Regardless of this, they function very well.
2. The Fire meaaengers appear like an Emissary of war, but a little different. The shape and moving is like as an Emissary's, but its skin's colour and "wrinkles" are the same as the normal messenger. I haven't tried it in real game yet, so i don't know how will it look like in a hero screen for example.

This sounds like the old version of Commanders patch. Have you installed Grayface's editor patch 3.0?

Hello. I need help again. (sorry if i'm getting tiresome... )
1. Let's start with a very big request. I would be extremely happy if you scripted the blank artifacts for me. I'd like the following bonuses:
Helmet: +1 primary skill weekly
Sword: Gives 'no retaliation' ability to all of your stacks
Shield: Gives your stacks Air shield, shield and stoneskin for 50 rounds at the beginning of every battle
Horn: +1 strike to all ranged attackers (Same as barbarian lord's axe of ferocity, but the bonus can only be gained by ranged attackers)
Surcoat: Renders the hero to be invisible. (Same as Vlaad's Invisible cloak)
Boots: Renders the hero not to suffer from the penalties of the different kinds of terrain types (if he was walking on road.)
Neck talisman: Summons creatures native to the hero's alignment weekly. Level is random, quantity depends on level. Level1: 30; L2: 25; L3: 20; L4: 15; L5: 10; L6: 5; L7: 3; L8: 1
Ring1: Gives a random special ability to one of your stacks every week. Newly joint creatures also takes the ability, but if you upg. them, all is lost.
Ring2: All stacks in the hero's party recieve double stack XP, and provides them to be immune to level 1 spells (excluding friendly ones)
Armor: Casts Magic arrow on all of the enemies in every 3rd round and blinds them in every 7th. Both casts start in the 2nd round (the magic arrow is the first, so it won't dispel blinding) and they also ignore immunity.

If there's something unscriptable, ignore it.
And after the request, here's my new, fresh questions
2. What is the difference between the Mighty Gorgon's and the Nightmare's death stare? The nightmare's is extended, but i couldn't find any difference between the two death stares.
3. I tried that Orb of Inhibitition's djinn, but it offered me an ability for one of my creatures, and asked me if I accepted it or not.How did you mean "Last time I chosen it to give double shot to my sharpshooters", Vlaad? Beacuse I could't influence its decision.

Paste the scripts in Timed Events and set the day to a very high number (see the picture above - my first post).
By the way, why don't you write some basic scripts? Having ideas is nice, but everyone has them, you know. I am doubtful anybody will spend days scripting yours while you don't even want to give it a try. On the other hand, I am sure people will be glad to help you if something goes wrong.

I tried to make scripts with ERM. Here are the things i understand:
-start with ZVSE
-xx/yy/z is location
-Syntaxes begin with !? and ends with ;
-Ob is object, -1 is any
-Texts in " are messages to display.
I read through many help and readme files, but it seems that ERM is too complicated for me to understand. I'm trying to make a script for 2 weeks, but nothing. The script you showed me before is such a complicated one (for me) which i've never seen before. How should i script an artifact, if i don't know what is 'flag1000'? I don't understand such basic things that i'll never be able to make a blank artifact function.

In other words, I've already 'given it a try'. I wrote that request as a final hope. I would be very grateful if somebody did them to me. I know that it takes time, but i did't tell you to do it for tomorrow. It's enough if you script 3 lines every day. To tell the truth, my plans are that i can play with the new blanks in 2 months' time. But if someone doesn't help me, I'll never be able to enjoy the chances given by those blank artifacts. If i could use ERM, I would do the scripts myself. Maybe I'm silly, but i can't. I would spend weeks by scripting if i understood ERM.

Thanks for testing, Vlaad. It's a little odd how it sometimes jumps up by 50 and sometimes 100, isn't it?

I think it was a misunderstanding: the Supreme Phoenix always comes back, but not in numbers. I believe that's what "100%" stands for. It refers to the fact that it differs from the normal Phoenix, which has a chance to come back.
You're probably right, except that I believe the way it works for a normal Phoenix is 100% chance of 1 Phoenix for every 5 in the stack plus an addition 20% x the remainder of 1 more. So if you have less than 5 Phoenixes, it's not a 100% chance but if you have 5 or more, you'll always get at least 1 of them back (and at least 2 back if you have 10, etc.).
So a Supreme Phoenix might be 1 for every 5 plus 100% chance of 1 more if there's a remainder.
This would mean that 1-5 Phoenixes would always rebirth 1, and 6-10 would always rebirth 2, etc. rather than 6 being 1 + 20% chance of a second, and so on.

Aggression level is 0-10 so a reduction of aggression won't always result in a creature joining. It would depend on the monster's starting aggression as well as the usual factors (Diplomacy level, strength of hero's army, number of creatures the same, etc.).
I suspect that the aggression is based on an object trigger for the monster so a scripted reduction wouldn't be applied until you attack the monster, meaning that the Rogue's information can't take it into account.

Stack experience, new creatures and artifacts, twice as many wogify options as in 3.57f.
You should upgrade to 3.58f, though.

In my computer's opinion(), I'm using 3.57 but i already havethose things such as stack XP and new monsters.
