Hello everyone and welcome back to the 11th & final round of HC's Got Talent!
I would like to apologize for the delay in getting this Results Post "broadcast" as I actually had to do a RECOUNT. It was so close between 2 contestants that I went over all the IMs numerous times and even got an objective observer to determine which IMs were actual votes and which ones were simply discussion or chit-chat. Although, this small delay might have stressed some of you out , I hope that you understand my reasons: I didn't want to have any uncertainties when declaring the results, as this is such an important time in the contest. You can all rest assured that after all the IMs were examined, the two contestants going on to the GRAND FINALE are the ones who received the most votes from HC members.
I bet that you are all wondering who I am talking about right?! Well, let me just tell you that the last round was truly spectacular in every sense of the word: The 3 contestants showcased top-notch talents, the votes poured in like never before (Now I realise that the previous round's lull in voting was simply "the calm before the storm". ), and there was intense drama because the race to make it or brake it was as close as it could get. So before you all get angry at me for stalling so long and start sending me "hate mail" , I think that we should get to those always-interesting results right away. Alright then, let's do it! *First of all, congratulations are in order for our Top Vote-receiving Contestant:
FriendOfGunnar (for the 3rd time)!
Not only did he become the first person to be sent through to the GRAND FINALE by achieving this honour, but he also established a new record for votes received by a contestant in a single round in the process. I believe that people not only loved your perfect piano playing last week, but that they also wanted to reward you for your ongoing creativity, variety, and pure talent. Congratulations once more!
*Now to the issue of the 2 other contestants. Things were really intense here all weekend because they exchanged second place between them numerous times, as the votes from various HC members came in. In the end, though, only one of them could go on to the GRAND FINALE against FriendOfGunnar. So, did Lady_Milena'd great belly dancing routine and show of dedication do it for her? Or did my (Leo_Lion) attempt to cash-in on the upcoming Holiday Season by singing a plethora of jolly...& sometimes silly...Christmas carols secure me the necessary votes? Well, in a change of procedure, I would like everyone to join me in saying congratulations to the contestant who not only received more votes than the other last weekend, but who also received more votes than any other contestant throughout the entire competition so far...obviously, I am talking about Lady_Milena!
*There you have it folks, the GRAND FINALE will feature the all-around talents of FriendOfGunnar against the "whole other level" of talent from Lady_Milena.
*This obviously means that I will be withdrawing as a contestant from the competition at this time. But before I close this chapter in my life here at HC, I would like to say a few words:
This contest, like many others before it, has increased my appreciation for the members of HC and for the site itself. Simply put, I had a great time singing these songs and sharing them with all of you. And if there's anything I hope that I accomplished through my participation as a contestant, it is that I entertained you and helped you all get to know me a little better.
As for me, I feel enriched by this experience after having pushed myself to learn the piano, improve my singing, learn more about file-hosting, and finally, let loose! Thank you to those who voted for me and to those who competed alongside me. This was something that I will be adding to my Personal Page and, more importantly, will never forget.
Do not fear, however, I will be sticking around as the Host of this program and will be casting a single vote in the GRAND FINALE. It would be pretty weird trying to send myself multiple IMs, after all.
*On that note, I declare that the final round is officially open!
*The remaining 2 contestants now have until Friday night @ 23:59 EST (in 2 weeks) to showcase their talents in a single Post, in this Thread. Remember, they can either keep going with the same talent or change to a new one.
*In addition, I would like to "open the floor" to any HC members who would like to show off their talents to the rest of us. Following similar guidelines set out for the contestants, please try to keep your performances limited to a single Post, but feel free to showcase any talent that your heart desires. There will be no votes cast in this regards, so there is no pressure...just fun! I think that I have said enough about the GRAND FINALE, so I'm just going to leave you all with one last request:
When the time comes, VOTE!
In 2 weeks time, I want to see so many votes in my Inbox that last round's record amount seems like a joke...a very miniscule joke.
Anyways, I'd like to thank the contestants left in the competition for their great 10th round performances and the voters for casting so many ballots. Good luck to FriendOfGunnar & Lady_Milena with their upcoming performances and have a good week everyone!

*Take care, Leo

After having received the same request from both FriendOfGunnar & Lady_Milena, I find myself having to extend the "showcase deadline" by another week. I know the saying goes it's better late than never, but let's hope it is worth it and they blow us away with amazing entries; worthy of the GRAND FINALE. {Otherwise, I'll just have to declare myself the winner. }
*So, the remaining 2 contestants now have until Friday night @ 23:59 EST (in 1 week) to showcase their talents in a single Post, in this Thread. Remember, they can either keep going with the same talent or change to a new one.
*I would like to remind everyone that the "open the floor" to any HC members who would like to show off their talents to the rest of us. Following similar guidelines set out for the contestants, please try to keep your performances limited to a single Post, but feel free to showcase any talent that your heart desires. There will be no votes cast in this regards, so there is no pressure...just fun!

My last entry
Hello everybody,
The long waiting is over and it's been worth it! For voice introduction, click here.
Before you watch the next part, you should be aware that even though the quality is insanely low and it can't be seen well, I'm STEPPING on these glasses. This is why you could see me 4 inches above the ground. I'm not levitating, the glasses ARE there, under my feet.
The dance you are going to watch is unique. Very few dancers dare do it because of the contant danger a goblet/glass would break and it would hurt your feet. Even a minor crack could cause the glass to break and spear your foot. So a dancer must be very careful on the top of being able to keep balance on the 3 glasses. There are no video materials available to teach you how to do it. The only ways to learn are to corner one of those few who do it or the other - to explore it on your own. It was my idea and in truth, I have never seen anyone else perform it at all, live or on tape.
The glass dance
As an extra I have added a second clip - on the glasses WITH a tray on my head. I wanted to insert it in the original dance but I think it was the better solution. The quality is quite poor and the sound is messed up, but the glass-and-tray performance is watch-able. ;-)
ENJOY!
Do not forget, this is your last chance to vote. With this entry the contest is over.
I want to thank everyone who sent me kind HCM, emails and encouraged me. I must admit this contest has been stressful especially because of the deadlines factor and there is one reason that kept me going - your votes. It is not winning but the recognition I received that counts. Thank you. Thank you again.

If there was anyone that was wondering where I was this past week I was writing a little ditty called "The HC Ballad"
The recording was a bit rushed, I'm going to redo parts of it after the contest is over.
