I tried 'Two Sides' in a academy(me) vs necro(AI) match and *I* was in the evil section!Maybe the necros were good after all...Non linear,4 cities,2 dragon utopias, shpinxes and an elemental stockpile make for an interesting game though it is easy. You won't struggle with the resources that are plentiful anyway nor have a problem to flag all mines-especially the +20000 from the sphinx helps a lot earlygame.

It was quite enjoyable but I believe that since I had academy the +20000 and extra resources would help me more than a human opponent with say necropolis/haven.That's because in a less resource intensive map I would be hard pressed to build rakshasas and colossi and probably would have built them a week later. That makes a difference though I guess this map was intended for easy building so that the most of each faction's potential could be realised.Reminds me of H3 when me and my friends would fight after a few months when everything had been built and the AI had been eliminated Looking forward to your 6-player map!
Edit:I remember that your signposts show nothing,is this on purpose?
Perhaps it would be better if the starting towns had already a tavern and fort(maybe tier 1 duelling) as it speeds up the game.Building a fort can be a pain for some wood intensive towns as sylvan.
Some places such as the land below blue player's town(crossing the river) seem a bit empty, just grass. With just a few say bushes, flowers etc strategically placed it would look a lot different.I like your work so far

ohh ok thanks yeah I was trying to make a easy fast map for online multiplayer games... that's is the intention...
I played the map without monsters to check that all buldings treasures and resources can be reached... and I without fighting I have two heroes between level 8 and 11 for each side I mean 4 decent heroes with thanks to the treasure chest's experince and other buldings so I think with the experience of fighting you can reach a nice level with a main hero...
Anybody notice the intent of waterfall?? I was trying to make the effect the problem is that the water looks very calm in the waterfall
Now a guy from the official forum ask for a volcano... so maybe I will do a map based on a volcano

How can I erase stuff
I was trying to edit some of these new user maps and I tried to erase terrain, nothing happens. I tried to get rid of water and replace it with dirt, nothing happens. How do i do this?

that's depend of the thing that you want to erase... the objects are as simple as select them and press delete... and some other terrain features for example the rivers, you need to go to the the tiles tab and the select rivers, and then select erase from the right bottom of the tools panel

Played the map Two Sides it was great, killed the hard computer in the ending battle with a cool Lucky Empowered Armegeddon of 5897 damage. Lost my own army aswell, but it was the pc's last castle hehe.

Yeah that's a nice one.It seems you didn't give up on the volcano idea(I don't suppose we'll have to reach it to destroy a ring?).What I like is that your maps are not the generic grass terrain filled with treasures and towns,it has a specific landscape in mind which I appreciate a lot in movies and games.

Lord_Crusader maybe you could put some other landscape instead of the grass landscape at those squares without towns (this is the best way I can describe it). The map has no symmetry atm and I love symmetry.

symmetry
Nightwolf says (The map has no symmetry atm and I love symmetry.
____________)
Well I hate symmetry. Thats the problem with all of the Multi player maps. Too much sameness. I like things to look like a real map, differnt terrain in different places and you balance it in other way than making everything the same.

That's a nightmare for map testing, you know that?
I too prefer symmetry, simply because I know starting positions do not matter all that much. Especially with more well-known multiplayer maps, people would start to know which positions have an advantage over others and simply quit the game if they were placed in an unfavorable one. With a symmetric map, everyone has the same initial chances.
