I can't see the pictures, but I played the battle in my head (computer not near) - ingenious. This is the most ackward best strategy I have so far heard in Heroes 5. This actualy should ALWAYS work, so it can be used anytime, with very little risk in multiplayer. I forgot that War Machines are immune to Call Lightning ability.
Blink, how is Academy going?
p.s. TO ADMIN: CONTRIBUTION OF THIS STRATEGY TOTALY DESERVES A QP, IF IT WASN'T ALREADY KNOWN.

That's a really cool strategy. I had no idea that war machines were immune to call lightning. I also have no idea why that's the case because they're not immune to the lightning spell. Something makes me think this is another unintentional feature by Nival (I mean what could the reason for this immunity possibly be?). Oh, and I also couldn't see the pictures.
I haven't gotten far at all on Academy because I have such a ridiculous amount of work. I've only been able to play one day since I finished the Sylvan campaign so I'm a little bit of the way into mission 2. I probably won't be able to spend any more time on it until the beginning of March.

phinex, did you recieve my personal message?
I am fairly close of finishing HoF Haven, I am playing mission 5 now. Difficulty is the greatest so far, it takes a zillion restarts, I do not think I will be able to finish this mission in the next week or so (plus I have a lot of obligations), but when I do finish I think that my time will be very strong.

Sure, but please send me a message, but write only your score on Haven campaign (because I pretty much know what mine will be although I haven't finished mission 5 completely yet), not for the others.

Wait wait wait! Please don't post the HoF scores yet. I don't even own the game yet! I'll be getting it in about a week hopefully. Please just give your scores to each other over private messages.

Urgh, I just had a setback. I was at the end of mission 3 and decided I needed to go back to mission 2 to change my skills. In mission 2, I thought I could improve myself even further by getting a sextant of the sea elves instead of learning navigation but it turns out that while navigation gets you to the final island with plenty of movement points left, the sextant makes it so you can be one tile away from the island at the end of your turn, so now I need to go quite a bit back in the mission to a point where I could have learned navigation but had turned it down. I figure I'll be done with the Academy campaign in about a week.
Once I finish the campaign, I'm going to get HoF and start playing that, but at the same time, I'm going to start a solo game in Might and Magic 6 and see if I can get through the game with just a Paladin (no Lloyd's Beacon for me; that spell is just WAY too cheap).

I don't understand. You were at the end of mission 3 when you decided to go back to mission 2 because you wanted Navigation? Why? There is no water after mission 2 which is the only mission where you need Navigation, but that you've ought have seen on mission 2. Why did you then play mission 3??
If you wanted to go back to mission 2 so that you can change your skills for mission 3 then forget what I wrote before. It shouldn't take you a week... After mission 3 the last two are, hm, hilariously easy?

Nah, what I meant was that I wanted to NOT get navigation. I thought I could use a sextant of the sea elves instead but it turns out I couldn't because I ended one movement point short in the ocean. I went back to mission 2 because I wanted better skills for mission 3. I'm currently fine tuning the final fight against Markal. Ugh, I made him way too strong and Godric way too weak. I can get to the final fight with Findan, but to do so I have to give too many of Findan's troops to Godric. I'm trying to figure out the exact minimum number of troops Godric needs to beat Markal because Findan is close to being able to beat Markal but he can't quite do it fast enough. He just needs to survive a few more turns.
By the way, I can't see how giving Findan summoning would have helped me in this mission because Findan only has 9 spell power. In fact, the destructive magic is much more useful here than I thought it would be. I also find it lame that Markal is the character I built only for the first 2 fights; for the fight against Findan, his attack and defense stats suddenly shoot through the roof for some unknown reason.

Yes,I remember the thing with the Sextant, it forced me to take Nav too. Well, I am courious how are you going to beat the Liches with Findan. His starting troops can hardly scratch Markal who has insane stats in that fight. Findan was actualy the worst of the three fights for me, and I probably wouldn't be able to do it w/o the Phoenix. I do know that your Godric is way to weak because you said you gave him Log I cannot really start to understand why. But even the Godric fight can be nasty when Markal casts the Phoenix (I am anxtious to hear does he cast it in your case).
As for Markal's stats, they don't have anything in common with Markal we played in Necro campaign. At least I think. You'll see that later. His stats against Findan are higher because that Markal is defined elsewhere in the script.

Well, I just beat mission 3. Finally. I got to the end of mission 4 but it wasn't quite as easy as I expected it to be. Isabel's army is actually a threat to Raelag because he doesn't have dark magic. I'm assuming you just puppet mastered her troops but I can't do that. I still don't think it's going to be all that hard of a fight. I'm just getting really unlucky; I fought the battle a few times and NEVER got a lucky spell from Raelag! Anyway, I'll beat it soon.

Finally finished. Thanks for not posting during all my slowness. Sorry about that.
Academy Campaign: 31 days
Score: 153,175
As usual, I need some time to get my walkthrough together. I'm pretty sure this campaign can be done a day or two faster, maybe even 3 days faster, but I'm guessing that's about the limit.
