Different set of artifacts for adventure map and battle
Maybe it was suggested by someone else, but I think that it is important enough to say it anyway.
I think that it is good to make different sets of artifacts equiped with hero for adventure map mode and for battle mode.
If you have a lot of artifacts in your backpack - you have to switch very often choosing between for example moving points with jousting boots and some battle bonuses with other artifacts. It is annoying and makes gameplay less dynamic. It is far more better to have two sets of artifacts - one for battles and one for adventures like magics do.

You mean like to make heroes able to wear, for example, two pairs of boots at a time? Travelling and of earth protection for example?

'Wearing to pairs' sounds strange but it means that I wants.
Maybe it can be implemented in some other manner - for example hero has two slots - boots and shoes. Boots artifacts are only for adventure map and shoes are only for battles. Or may be some other more elegant implementation but with same effect - you haven't to replace your footwear and other artifacts before battle and after it - it is annoying process but required before prepairing to important battles.

Yes, it does sound strange and doesnt make logical sense, but its a good piont. It really is annoying to think of that you need to switch your artifacts before combat. And it can truly change the whole combat! Like in the end of combat you say: Im such an idiot! I forgot to swich my artifacts before combat! But thats maybe one of the points that differ good players from noobs! So I think its not going to be changed...

It does make some sense - you can always change your artifacts before you enter battle (at least if you're the attacker - one might limit the possibility of changing artifacts for the defender to only include empty slots on the adventure doll). Effectively, it would just mean there should be two different artifact paperdolls, one for Combat artifacts, and one for none-combat artifacts.

sounds like a fair idea, could be done easy enough with the addition of a button. Switches from battle to adventure view. I don't see why not.

Its a great idea because:
1. It will save time, which leads to
a) More player enjoyment since games go faster.
b) More % of time played having fun.
2. The artifact paperdoll is too small which means that
a) Expansion artifacts will need more space
b) This idea solves that problem as well.

So you ARE actually positive sometimes.

Switchable paper dolls sounds fine. But I'd prefer if you actually defines which set of artifacts are used for combats and which sets are used for adventuring. Saves me that little time to switch between one set from the other. (Gosh, I'm lazy ain't I?).
But if you are defining two different sets for different combat situations, switchable paperdoll should work better (eg. choosing a lucky horseshoe instead emerald slippers for the combat when you are drained of mana?).

Well my thought would not be for you to actually switch them. You should simply have two inventories and two paperdolls. Thus, when you pick up you golden horseshoe, it automatically goes onto you feet on the combat doll. When you pick up you Boots of Fast Striding (or whatever they are called) they go onto you feet on the adventure doll. You then have both working. When you pick up the Emerald Slippers, however, they'll go into your (combat) backpack, because you already have your Golden Horseshoe equipped on this doll. It would simply separate these two groups of artifacts into entirely separate windows.

Maybe it sounds good to implement two features:
- different polls of artifacts for adventure map and battles (most wanted feature?)
- ability to group artifacts with sets and allow to quickly switch them in different situation
