Simultaneous turns, first games
and first desillusions:
Playing Dead man's lake today, getting back day 4 to normal turn by turn system....just because the program takes in consideration ONLY the distance between 2 enemy heroes (we had both scouts near the wights in corner)and not their strength and REAL possibility to reach each other (my scout in this game was obviously not able to kill guards to say hello to my opponent's hero....).
As we said, sim turns is a great feature, but we'll need closed maps with long distance between areas, or please UBI : patchpatchpatch
P.S: same game, 2 weeks later....desync

I am in SLOW process of making a map... it involves alot of raised terrain that weaves thru each others areas....obviously making it possible to see and watch your opponent at different stages of game BUT not beable to interact with them since Instant travel will not be available.... My question is this.... since there will be possibility of standing a few hexes from opponent....with one being on level ground and other on a raised section... with that cause the simultaneous turns to revert back???? OR does it only do that when the heroes are able to make direct contact within 2 turns via beating guards etc etc?
Just want to know if I should waste any more time on it.

It they turn "off", then won't return back "on".

Actually that's not correct. The game takes into account if there is a possibility that both players will "activate" the same object on the map. Basically it'd be possible for you both to attack those wraiths at the same time (for exapmle to use the scout to see how many there are) and therefore crash the game or something.
BUT
seeing this I have modified slightly the Dead Man's Lake, and now there are 2 packs of wraiths, so that game should be in sim-turn mode reasonably longer!

Hmm interesting bug/feature happened...
I was play vs Jrholtd, was 2-nd player when entered in his realm
My moves is frozen and i become angry becouse lost some of them
But Jrholdt end his turn , I still have week 2 day 1 (No income e.t.c.) but ALL my heroes have full moves!!!
Seems that feature can be wery bugged but also can be considered as compensation for 2-nd player.

Should work just fine, as there is no possibility of interaction between 2 players. I'm not sure though.

I was playing yesterday a map with a friend and two cpu... was strange to see that we (the human players) have our turn at the same time and we pass the turn then one of the computer players did his turn and the other one after this finish his turn, was a mix between normal turns and simultaneus turns

I not found that strange. AI need do it's own calculations and do it in real time is too complicate thing. Better concentrate on other things...

Anybody have success or problems with simult turns + ghost mode? I had a freeze-out on computer player shortly after switching to normal mode. But, also our network connection was very bad, so that could have been it.
Another question, anybody have luck connecting from coffee shops? I was in a Starbucks in Toronto. Sometimes I could connect to a game, but usually not.

It still gets turn based if you get too close. We just loaded the game and decided not to go further than the windmills, and that made us able to play sim turns for a couple of weeks. A few steps more and I think it turns to turn based. Not sure what would happen if both were at the mills at the same time though.
