A question...
If anyone is reading this old thread then I would be very happy.I have Homm 3 complete, playing this map when suddently a Wild Wolf rider appears! Now seriously, he is guarding the cornucopia for the border guard (I got further into the game to that part until game freezing for reasons) and I can't do anything about it, would someone tell me if it is possible to remove him from the map, I tried Map editor but it doesn't take save files. Help please?

Heh, that's the problem with most of old sod XL maps.
Only one solution: Install Era II from wog forum, then install SoD mod then restart the map. No week of, no bugs, you will be able to finish it, same gameplay.
Also you should enable Usain Bolt mod (+10 tiles every 50 victorious battles). Will help finishing the map before the 12 month freezing game delay.

I just read about Era. So I'm able to install it on pure heroes 3?

I think i did something bad. I still get daily creatures, am I supposed to play on wog without wogification?
EDIT:Now i finally found SoD mod, but avira is getting crazy of viruses
EDIT 2.0: Ok, now it works perfectly, thanks Salamandre!
EDIT 3.0: Now it started to crash every few minutes, says something about ERM.

There are no viruses in any of the era mods on wakeofgods.org, avira is bad program which gives false positives.
I always play sod maps with Era + SoD mod, for safety, and never had any crashes. Can you upload a crash log (should be in data) WOGCRASHLOG.txt or write here what message you get? You should only have active as mods SoD + WoG (and additionally what you want from interface mods)
Probably bad install. Double click Era to install in Heroes Folder, double click on mods, specify SAME path.

Ok you can delete it, this is probably due to bad install, as there is no em reference in.
You need Heroes complete (usually the path is C:GOG/Games/Heroes III.
Then you download Era2, double click on it and specify your Heroes game path (read above).
Once done, you download mods and do same. You still can play Heroes III from same directory, using Heroes3.exe. When playing Era, use h3era.exe.
Era will add an icon to your desktop, shortcut to mod manager. When open it you can see which mods are enabled, which are disabled. For SoD maps I recommend only SoD mod, Yona (display damage values) + WoG mod.
If crashes (?) try to check in heroes3.ini (open with any text editor) that
UseOnlyOneCpuCore=0
Change to 0 if previously 1
I think, that's all. Should work smoothly if done right. Post if not. Are you using HD mod too?

Correction to above post:
ensure the following values in heroes3.ini:
CpuPatch=0
UseOnlyOneCpuCore=1
HD mod is for high resolution game play. Don't bother if you don't know it.
