Not that it matters, but guardian angel can resurrect them too.
Fire dragon looks like an upgraded lvl 7 creature.
Magma dragon looks like a lvl 8 creature

magma dragons rule the other lvl 7 creatures by far. It's big handicap is that it doesn't fly, but it's huge HP and Defense make this creature a very tough one to kill.

while Fallen Angel not being in the discussion is somewhat understandable since ToTE is bringing them as faction unit anyway, it's shame that nobody has brought up the Phoenix into this topic. with rebirth they have 300 HP basically, magma dragon like damage, fire shield, and initiative that makes even emerald dragons cry. also the second biggest non-buffed attack skill and best defense skill after magmas. Phoenixes could quite easily match up among the best 7th level units. damage is pretty bad but the enormous initiative makes up for this.
well Phoenix is unbuyable in 99,9% of times but this topic was about discussing the best 7th level creature, not whether they could be used in multiplayer or not  (not including the summon phoenix spell)

Yeah, but still...10000 gold for 1 phoenix? 
I'd rather spend it on some more useful things...
Cost left aside though, the only stat the Magma's got higher is defense, and min. damage. Countered by:
- Higher hp (with rebirth)
- higher attack, initiative and speed (I find speed rather lacking for a tier 7 creature as the Magmas),
- Flyer
- The Magma dragon's 'Elemental' skill is both positive or negative, so I'm not counting that.
My favorite is without doubt still the Titan. I love everything about that creature! ^^ It's a shooter, it's got a great description, and Call lightning is awesome! But I guess it's not always the best...I say that they amm got uses, except for the ghost dragon...Well, it'll have it's uses, but I think it has far less chances to shine than the others. The best? I say blackies. No need to draw me into a magma/black dragon discussion, because I still love my Titan!

I like the Magma Dragon. I just like tanks, I guess. And runes can only help.

Isn't the Rainbow Dragon renamed to Sapphire Dragon?
Yeah i think it is. All i could member was the Saphire Dragon mod but that was the one.
It is Sapphire dragon now, and yes I know there is also a Sapphire dragon mod out there.

im gonna go with the archangels 
sure they may be a little... gender-confused... but they have a huge a$$ sword! constant damage and rez is also nice... especially when splitting archangels in two groups and resurecting each other just to annoy the opponent

I'm having a devil of a time even recruiting angels months into a game with 1 town, 3 gold mines, and a Utopia. I've gotten the ultimate pendant in a game with a few buddies of mine for my trainer and I'll finally be able to buy all 17 of the bastards at the end of the 2nd week of the 3rd month.
So I have no idea how good the Angels are. I just know that stacks of Paladins is better.
