That addictive tower game that everybody is playing
Is there anybody else playing the tower game? and if so, can you please explain how these scores are possible?
This is the best that I’ve done so far.
(the scores are cleaned every 5 hours  )
For those of you who haven’t seen it, it’s a flash game based on Warcraft. You have this little map and you buy various towers and put them on the grass.
Then various and sundry critters come marching down the road and you have to kill them before they get to the other side of the map.

I have no life, thanks to FoG. 
This game is remarkably similar to the Defense UMS games on Starcraft Bnet. Naturally, this version is considerably less brutal because you can sell/upgrade your towers and there aren't other players taunting you whenever you leak. 
I made it up to level 33, when a boss critter did two runs across the map before ending my game. I think I spent too much time relying on the three basic towers. I should have gone straight to building fire towers once I had the chance.

This game is pretty easy. When I first started playing I thought it would be best to take spots where the cannons had access to the most total space (a u-turn), but it's obvious now, that you want a bunch of cannons to fire on each unit once.

I lost half a day here too...
I only made it to 20000 or so before I had to return to spam my life.
I still don't see how they can reach these scores - there are only 39 levels - total :baffled:

Yes, "Sunken Defense" map for Starcraft is what started the avalanche

Yikes
I have tried this game like 5 times now and my hs is like 7000, I make it to lvl 39 to. Killed about half the guys and the others were down to like 30% life, just to damn many of them.
Tell me what do you guys use for your towers?? I use only about 2-3 canons upgraded to lvl 2 or 3 until I get the fire towers. Then replace them and only need like 3 of those upgraded to lvl 2 till I get to lvl 25 or so.

I used to play this abit on warcraft (when it worked the damn thing) because I sucked so much at dota and everyone would play that 
But I tried this thing... and, well see for yourself

Too easy 
Finally beat it, using basically all cannons and researched only interest.
By level 37 I had filled the screen with cannons, I know theres a way to get more but I dno it so I just had to keep hitting the add life button to beat it. I'm using a mac keyboard on windows so I can't printscreen (that I know of  ) but yeah I actually beat it.
Never playing again

I have yet to try it. I'm not to fond of the words "addictive" and "Warcraft" in the same thread.
However I do enjoy this simple little game:

If I have the time I'll write more later. But to get the really high scores:
Use all wood to increase interest rate.
Use cannons for almost everything.
Build air towers for air creeps, but sell the towers back after the round. Ideally sell them before the round ends.
Stack cannons. The majority will be in the upper right. Some will be along the right edge just below the vertical center.
To stack towers use the tab key (on PCs, don't know about Macs). Grab a tower and hold it with the mouse where you want to place it. Then use the tab key to cycle through until you highlight the tower you want to place (this might cycle all over the screen the first time) Once you have the tower postioned and highlighted, hit "enter" to place the tower.
Tab cycles forward and shift-tab cycles backwards.
Somewhere around level 35 I think it's better to just buy a bunch of lives and let the creeps leak.
Open several windows at once to experiment and do slightly different things in each window.

Yeah I just read some guide.
You build a bunch of arrow towers in the middle to kill the bosses. I sell them after the bosses, though I'm not sure that's what you're supposed to do.
And you build a few lvl3 air towers on the side when it's an air level, and sell them after.
The rest, cannons in the top right and middle left if necessary...

Then, I went back to straight cannons again, and I was going so well, at level 36 I decided to not build any more cannons and just buy lives. But instead of buying too many like last time, I'd just buy them as I needed them. One lapse of concentration and I'm dead for no reason, with a fraction of the score I should have got...

hahah that happened to me too, I was on track for a nice fat 150,000 score.
I think I'm over it now.

This reminds me a bit of Defend Your Castle, without the muscle strain. Took me three tries, but I finally beat it.
Not as high as some of you, but I think it'd be best if I swore off this game before I got completely addicted. >_>
