There is one here. It's detailed enough and should clear some things for you.

The first mission on heroic
Conquer all dwellings and some gold that you can get,and then go past a have military post, combine the armies of Freyda and Lazlo into one and defeat the Ancient treants.Take the 70 crossbowmen and the 200+ enforcers(you have to fight some hunters until you can reach them). After that there are two roads heading up north. One is guarded by Archangels, but the other is free for passage.A Seers hutt lies to the west of the road you lie now.It will tell you to kill some elder druids.Ignore him for now,If you go up north you will find some Spectral Dragons, kill them and go with one hero(preferably Freyda)further north to some other dwellings, recruit as many peasants, footmen, archers you can, besides with the other hero go back from where you started the mission and hire everything you can from the dwellings. When you have a strong enough army.I had about 300+peasants,60+archers and around 70 footmen defeat the druids.Go back to the seer,he will give you 300 experience. Now all the elven ambushes have fallen. You can go to take on Lord Caldwell's camp.He has about 4 paladins and a pretty tough army. But your footmen should counter them.Do the same with Randall, but recruit as many creatures as you can(if you don't have money hire peasants, there are more then 8 peasant huts on this map,I think).

Get his three towns quickly and then just build them all up. Dont get too close to his town or hell come and attack you. But you can grab some stuff on the sidelines to starve him of resources

I suggest taking dark and light magic to Freyda it's a great combo: slow and haste you get 100% more initiative than the enemy! Use a combo of suffering and endurance to prevent any loses and puppet master helps great when you gain the ability fallen knight. At least worked for me on heroic

Quote: I have a problem with the last mission (I play on heroic). CH walktrough suggest going immediatley for Duncan. However garrison is much to tough to beat. I have managed to kill of everything except about 100 inquisitors. Is it that on heroic the approach must be changed or maybe my hero build is inferior?

Since there's no real thorough walkthrough to this campaign here I might as well share my ways of getting along, might also mention I played on Heroic, thus this should work on any difficulty.
My skill choices were as follows:
Counterstrike
Light Magic
Attack
Defense
Luck
Leadership
MISSION 1
Not very much to say about this mission really, no real enemy to kill except for two armies that are idle. Note that this mission is about troop preserving. Give all your troops to Freyda as you'll have no further use of Laszlo in this campaign. Start off by capturing creatuer dwellings as you go, grab whatever treasure you're able to get without losing too many troops, preferrably none at all seeing as you may have to lose some against the Ancient Treants guarding your reinforcements. Roam the map and gather enough troops to fight them and get your additional forces, they're going to help a lot and it's also a primary objective.
You can fight the druids in order to stop the elven assaults as well, use only your battle griffins and dive them. You might notice something funny too, if you battle dive on one of them, they will both cast stone spikes at the druid you're going to battle dive (even THE one), I must say I laughed.
Once you got your reinforcements, claim the remaning farms and fight the two idle armies to end the mission.
MISSION 2
You'll have Laszlo beside you but you can't get additional troops from him, not control him. You're supposed to capture enemy towns (a total of three I think) so let's just get on with it, you should be able to cruise through this one rather harmlessly if you preserve your troops well in the castle battles. There are paladins guarding a bridge, but you can make Laszlo kill any tough neutrals by walking close to them and he might charge. Note that you can not use this method to claim towns. Destroy all the farms on your way and try to level up as much as possible, but it's no big deal if you don't reach max level here. Note that you'll be ambushed but a rather small demon army after having destroyed the last farm, so preserve your troops along the way.
MISSION 3
You're about to capture Duncan, who's hiding inside a castle in the north-west. There are a total of three other towns on this map, they're easily conquered so start with the one in the south-west, then the one in the middle and last but not least the north-eastern one. Defeat one of the garrisons as soon as you can and claim Duncan's dwellings and mines in order to slow his progress down a bit, then simply build your towns up until you're strong enough to beat him. Try getting all exp on the map you can inorder to reach max level, and make sure you build magic guild level 5 in your towns (you sohuld have expert light magic by now) in order to get teleportation and resurrection, along with other useful spells. Note that you have to place at least 10 swordsmen in each of your mines to keep them, otherwise rebels will take them from you. Pretty easy mission really, the key is to conquer all the towns fast, don't wait. Then just grow in your own pace, Duncan won't interrupt you.
MISSION 4
Pretty annoying mission and is all about troop preserving. There's a rebel town to the east which you should conquer as soon as possible, it's guarded by a horde of Liches or something though but seeing as you brought resurrection along should turn it into a piece of cake, add to that that you have units you can sacrifice all you want in the two relevant battles (Liches and enemy town) as you aren't allowed to bring those new Haven troops inside the dwarven territory. So use them to kill your enemy and clear the area, then talk to the dwarven garrison and meet their demands. Gather the troops you're allowed to bring and enter. After a cutscene you're on the run. This is an annoying part and you have to preserve your troops well here.
There should be a teleport nearby (don't remeber exactly where) which takes you inside the mountains, locate and enter it. Fight whatever you want to get forward until you reach one of those huts in which you usually get to see some parts of the map, this one wants you to get an artifact though, those greaves. Head back to the north and get them, and fight the dwarven treasury now as you'll need resources later. Return to the hut and you'll get to know a way out, however it's guarded by runic priests and they want you to kill some wolves for them. You have to go back AGAIN, just smile and do it. Once you've killed you're free to go through. If I'm not completely mistaken you're going to have to fight quite a lot of Thanes now (a throng if I remember correctly) in order to open the path to the exit. You also have to fight a legion of shieldguards blocking the red tent. Try losing as little as possible as we have one huge fight left, pay the resources we gatheres n the treasury to the red tent guy in order to be able to proceed part the guard. Now we're up against Lava dragons (a horde in my case) which is why it's crucial that you have enough troops to beat them. Split whatever you have left and place them correctly around your archers so their fiery breath can't harm them, abuse slow and beat the crap out of them. Resurrect your shields if necessary, if you preserved enough archers this should be easy. Descend the stairs to end the scenario.
MISSION 5
Choose the paladins as your bonus and take the fortress town, simply to start gaining some cash. Proceed into the caves and get up on the other side as soon as you can as we're going for a rush. One you ascend, you'll get attacked by a hero with a small army, no losses here. Take the poorly guarded town, again no losses. First I tried to conquer all the teal towns but it was no use, as the reds appeared with an army to great for me to handle. Instead I tried rushing their south-east town as early as possible (hence the rush). I managed to take it, and for some reason the reds never went out through their garrison after that. Perhaps they felt weaker not having two towns and entered defense mode, I don't know. since this town was fully built and offered angels, I simply remained in there and built an army strong enough to beat the garrison guarding Duncan. Train all your priests into paladins and when you feel strong enough, go for it. Once you've beaten the sort of heavily guarded garrison, the teal heroes, mines and towns will be all yours. This makes this way of doing it even better seeing as te Teals should've built quite an army themselves by now, which is now under your command. Give everything to Freyda and use the towns to make your army even stronger, then charge one of the gates. ONce you're through, Andreas should be hiding in the town with a laughable force, beat him and build a ship. At sea you'll get attacked by Irina, who has an army about half the size of the garrison one, you should have no problem fighting her though as you should have quite some paladins at your disposal. After the fight, you've beaten the campaign, congratulations.

Played on 3.1. Honestly boring for the most part, its only novelty used to be that renegades were a new addition.
All you need is stormwind, logistics, empathy, divine guidance and if possible retribution. Pick enlightenment on sight and your stats will be unreal. Warmachine build should be possible with triple flaming arrows but the armies are a bit too large. Might builds more reliable.
In the final mission make sure to build t5 guild when you reach lvl 20 for the town portal and do not buy army from the southwest town so that you can defend it when the AI comes for it. The only towns that need defending is that and your main since they're the closest to the AI. You can caravan the rest of your army to those two.
Also, not worth bothering with the border guards. Take teal towns, crush the wandering heroes and when ready to face the red garrison, go meet Duncan. Not even worth taking the time to visit the stat boosters, unless they're on your way.
