Just finished this campaign.
Spoilers ahead I guess...
Heads up on start. Get Summoning Magic, atleast for other hero. Summon Phoenix spell is amazing. Also, while War Machines was quite usefull to me in previous campaigns, don't take it here. In last two scenarios army sizes are enormuos, and don't think ballista for instance could help you much then. Don't think I've casted a single Dark Magic spell as well. Logs are great as always.
First scenario is pretty straight forward, you have a month to gather as much troops as you can. And to develop hero. Area you can explore is quite small, but everything is guarded, so could be pretty rough. After a month, you'll be transported to an underground cave where you can fight other contestants. Pick fights with heroes with fewer army, or pass turn and hope they'll attack each other before you.
In second map you have to build the grail. Also you start with almost fully built town, except for Shadow Witch, and Dragon dwellings. You can explore that small area you have, getting mines, and when you feel ready head up. All enemy towns are underground, and the closest one is directly east of you. I took that one first. When you conquer first town, you'll get company. Another hero joins you, and will stick until the end of campaign, so build her up as well. Use Summon Creatures spell often, with both heroes, to shorten the time to get new troops and conquer all other towns. Another one is almost in center of the map, and third is in south eastern part of the map. Also, one underground gate leads you to Dragon Utopia, and one other to some dwelling and arties. After beating enemies, take time to level up heroes, take all stat boosting objects, and get all spells you can (hope for Summon Phoenix). Oh yes, get those obelisks as well.
Third one...gah. If you think Haven's fifth map was annoying, wait until this one. There are two towns in close area, and their heroes could be hard. Once you take those two towns, inferno hero will appear and will head directly to you. Not that hard. Along with that hero...you'll be attacked by wave after wave of dungeon heroes. All their heroes are 20+ level, and they are coming from 2 portals close to towns. With nice usage of meteor shower (main hero and other one) and Summon Phoenix (other hero only), plus stupidity of AI (likes to cover it's archers with almost every other troop), it wasn't that tough. If you want to 'cripple' a bit AI, check tavern really often. I managed to buy every hero that attacked me, but one. That last one never showed in tavern. And then getting attacked by lower level heroes is quite defendable. When you're feeling up to, head for blue. He has 5 towns, I went with Raelag from bottom left one (south west) up to highest on right (and that only when I cleared whole map - like to do that ). Be warned that whenever you take two towns from blue, another inferno hero will appear, each stronger than before one, and again will head for you. I left Shayda (I think that's the name) home, and went roaming with Raelag.
Fourth map was nice. Have two months to kill an inferno hero (giving you Red Key - you'll see where it's needed) so you can escape the maze. Hero is the only 'big' problem. But again, with use of magic quite doable. Also, maze isn't that 'maze' like. Quite small, and only two way portals and camera positions can confuse you a bit. Atleast it did me.
And fifth one is here. Lots of battles with zounds of neutrals (be careful of damn imps and familiars lol, taking our precious mana), but the heroes you will encounter (in towns) are not so bad. First, pass the garrison, then head for red keymaster's tent, pass same gate (I didn't bother with blue tent and gate), find a way out of that underground (there's an enemy here there - easy). There'll be hillfort, so upgrade what ever joined or you bought, get that town close by (nice surprise when you take it ). And head west. Objective garrison is there, and if you want another town a bit to the north. Also, as said, enemy heroes are not that tough, so can explore whole map if you want...though some garrisons seems tough, especially those with imps. After passing the garrison, you have to attack final inferno hero. He fleed before even battle started (some poor AI programing I guess)...and that's it. End of campaign.
And I figured out who Raelag is. Only at the end though, even when there were hints.
I'm not used to writting walkthroughs, better at answering specific questions, so if it's bad, sorry.

Skills I suggest that you get for Raeleg:
Attack, battle frenzy, tactics, and archery. It really helps to play offensively with Raeleg since there are three Dungeon creatures that can cross the map in one turn and Raeleg's intimidate specialization really helps you by slowing down enemies so you can wipe them out before they can attack.
Luck, soldier's luck, warlock's luck, magic resistance. Again, a skill to help you play offensively and warlock's luck really helps to enhance your destructive spells. Unfortunately, soldier's luck is useless but it helps you get warlock's luck.
Destructive magic, you can't be a warlock without destructive magic and if you don't have it then people will laugh at you.
Sorcery, arcane training, mana regeneration, and erratic mana, since it helps enhance Raeleg's own destructive capabilities.
Summoning is actually not that great since it takes too long for it to be effective. The summoned elementals are not that useful. Earth and fire elementals are too slow. Water elementals can only cast two ice bolts or one circle of winter, their mana does not get replenished by additional summonings. Air elemental is just too weak to do much damage. Phantom forces is not that useful for the Dungeon since Dragons are immune, shadow witches/matriarchs are not that powerful, and hydras are too slow. Firewall is just useless, you can't even rotate it or cast it on top of an enemy stack. The Phoenix is great but it's too slow and it's not worth spending you skill slots for.

Campaign, Mission 5
I'm stuck on the Warlock-Dungeon campaign, mission 5(last mission). This is the one with three demon castles. Initially I took a town to learn the teleport spell. I used that to skip past the insanely fortified garrisons and headed to the far sw garrison(the one that shows up when you first start the mission). I took the objective garrison and went past it, but nothing happened. I've tried several times. Twice I've checked the entire map and killed everything except the three toughest garrisons, including the enemy heroes underground. The scenario won't end. What am I missing?

Thanks a TON. That's great info to know because it doesn't say anything about that in the mission objective, and it wasn't a requirement in all the past campaigns.

They really could have said more in the scenario infos

but the heroes you will encounter (in towns) are not so bad.
And Grawl? I don't think that you can say he is not that hard with following army:
44 Archdevils
66 Pit Lords
89 Nightmares
140 Succubus Mistresses
581 Cerberi
564 Horned Overseer
631 Imps
I went through the underground behind the Red Gate. When you follow the way there and go through the portal you will come back in the bottom right corner of the map. There I followed the way to the left but right after the goldmine there Grawl emerged and with my army which consists of:
15 Black Dragons
35 Shadow Matriarchs
40 Deep Hydras
65 Minotaur Guards
350 Assassins
I see no chance to defeat him. How should this be possible?

You might've waited a bit too long, as no hero I've encountered had such big army. Still, maybe you have an advantage of stats, spells?

Day 2, Week 4, Month 1. I don't think that this is too long, is it?
I already tried with spells, but my empowered implosion for example only kills 5 of his Archedevils. I only managed to kill about 1/3 of his army before my own army was annihilated.
Maybe I was too wuick and Grawls army would have been rdeuced from random encounters if I wait a bit longer?

Pretty weird, I really had no problem with them, and don't think I was that earlier or later than you at same point. Replaying, and will tell another results soon.

You don't have to fight Grawl. The only hero you have to fight is Veyer. You can avoid all the other heroes by goinging underground or into santuaries.

I went underground and met him at the end after the goldmine. But I didn't tried just to wait a week or so and then pass this spot. Maybe this really works. I will try it. Thx for the suggestion ^^

At mission 3, do you just take the 2 first castles and wait the others out or do you try to take another (or maybe 2 more?)? It feels so stupid to just wait out high lvl heroes with big armies, when they can recruit much faster than I can.

It worked =). Although it was a bit tricky to get past him with both heroes because the sanctuary can only hold one, but when he went back on day one to get reinforcements I made it. Thx Vicheron for the tip ^^
@Scratch89 In the 3rd Mission you have to capture all enemy castles am I correct? If this is the case then I didn't wait for the enemy but rather went through the teleporter to capture the castles like the objectives say. It is not really a problem, because you can hold off enemy heroes with the reinforcements you create at the 2 castles on your side of the field when they attack you. Same goes for the demon army.

well this is what i did at mission 3 first take each hero to the first towns (one at a town one at the other rush tactic) then when the demon hero comes atack him with one of your heroes (hope u have implosion and metor shower casue u will need it if u have empower implosion/metor shower u will win easy)get ready casue when the first demon hero comes the blue player will come from the west and north portals.
after u kild the demon lord and the blue players hero get what troops u can and take one hero to the north portal and one to the west one (u will conquer there towns easy casue when they camed they took all the trops they could get)
i advise u after u conquer all there towns except for the north wester one to lv up your campaing heroes
hope that helped that is what i did
goodluck

Replay second map, get some better spells there. Buff both heroes and level them up to the max before getting Tear of Asha building.
EDIT: And Illusion, I've just replayed that last mission, and again haven't encountered hero with such an army. Most archdevils they had was 20 some in third inferno town I took. Guess in your case, AI heroes joined army.
