Question
Hi everyone!
I read somewhere that somehow I can view information about
enemy heroes(their stats, skills, artifacts etc.) in relatively "legal" way(that is,it's not even called cheating).
Anyone knows how to do it?

The only "legal" way to do so is looking in your tavern. Everything else IS cheating.

Ok,I got your point and I actually agree with you
I hate cheating, but could you elaborate on "everything else" if it
doesn't involve input of some code?Just interested.

some WOG stuff like sorcery enhancement are "legal" too.
and you may just peek. although whenever i play hotseat games, we let each other see our stuff freely. just to make it easier.

When I play via internet I can't peek at enemy's stats
(ok,at his primary skills I can peek after conquering a second town).
But I can't know what skills he learned(at least I thought so).
Once I played with a guy via internet and after a final battle(that he won) he asked me how it happened that i learned a Navigation skill(on a map without water).I told him I learned it occasionally by entering a witch hut.And then I asked him how he knew what skills I learned. He didn't answer...

Take it easy, man! No one is going to cheat...There is plenty of
cheatcodes all over the web and I never used them cause it makes
playing senseless(of course it won't convince you,I know).
Just wanted to know HOW it's possible to reveal this information
about enemy heroes.

Maybe to find out if your opponent is cheating.
I would think the way he found out was by loading the game with 2 players on hotseat after you finished. That way he could see everything, but only after the game.

Hmmmm...it might be so...'Cause we didn't finish at once but
had a break in the middle so he could've peeked at my skills in between.
Thanks,maretti.

You'd better learn how to give a normal answer to a normal question
(or not to answer at all) and not to yell about other people's stupidity(and your own too,by the way).

I heard about this BUG recently, but only know how you can prevent your opponent to see your hero(s) illegally.
My question is this: if someone takes that certain action to prevent the opponent seeing his hero, will it mean that he also knows how to cheat? Will it mean that he actually cheatED that same way he prevented to be cheated ON? It seems to me we can never know exactly...
BTW: I personally never try to prevent anything illegal, since I presume all my opponents play fair (until I discover the opposite).

@ Xarfax- You're just making yourself look foolish, not anyone else.
I've noticed in a couple threads people come with questions, and you just ridicule them. Not a great welcome into the Community, is it? Also, I believe that these bugs are now accpeted as "standard" in multiplayer- that is, everyone uses them. I don't play multiplayer, but that's the impression I got from looking over the forums. I don't use things like that, as I play for fun, not win, win, win. I have no problem with people who do though- I just like enjoying the game.

No need to "judge" any other members here in that thread. That's what the feedback thread is made for.
And no, those "bugs" or not standard in multiplayer. Only for those who write the word "honor" with "c" at the beginning, and "heater" at the end..

@Swamp:
Sorry i dont give "nice welcomes" to newcomers that openly asks for some cheating in a Forum for honorable players. Even if he says that he only wants the info, i dont believe him a word. Sorry, zero tolerance for cheaters like him.
I admit that i sometimes loose my diplo skills when some stupid comments about a 7 year old game are made in an expert forum. But those posts are long ago, as you can see, that i dont post on your posts. Your post show that you know nothing about this game. You see? I did not do any noobie-bashing on you.
Feel welcome to this forum.

No offense meant to you. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, as he may just be curious. I was about these as well. I would never use them, as I have had very bad experiences with hackers in many games, and I loathe them deeply. My apologies, I see why you could think that he wanted to cheat. Also, I know a fair bit about the game, I'm just not ToH material. I've played this game since about 2001, on and off, and I consider it one of the best games I've ever played.
Sincerely, SwampLord.
