fraudatio: If you chek map 1.5 you will see its alot diferent from 1.3. Here not miss only "Nur" from Academy...but miss "Faiz" too.
If Fiur make his map for 20 ppl in all world only OK. But if he want to be serius map macer he (and all other) need know: ban heroes is bad idea.
BTW fraudatio, play necro is alot more lame from play with Nur. Maybe need ban this race for better balance?

Raelag (Campaign Hero) - Master of Initiative
All creatures in hero’s army get +1% to their Initiative and enemy creatures
get -1% for their Initiative for every level of the hero.

Its balanced hero for multipalers?

Chek map logs for 1.5 befor start  blame me. Maybe Fiur is drink when make this changes...but 1.5 is not good map for 1vs1 now.

Pretty impressive to be able to put two comments like that in subsequent posts, makes me think you just do this to be a jerk. I based my posts on 1.5 - whether there is one more or less banned hero wont make any changes in the argumentation. I may have left one out, what do I know.

It is worthless arguing with pure stupidity. That you don`t like maps with banned heroes - thats fine. But the way you come forward with this is just not fine at all.

My 3 games on this map has been Dungeon, Inferno and Fortress, all random town/heroes.

lol fraudatio: To be drunk is not someting bad or offensive...but can explain changes like ban Wyngaal/Deleb/Nur for balance and put heroes like Raelag. Campaign Heroes is not for multiplaers game...they are not balanced.
I'm not tell map is bad !!! Just ban heroes is bad idea (for any map)and put campaign heros for 1vs1 map is more bad idea. Its all.

Urging all mapmakers to remove ring of speed and staff of netherworld or either one !!

These 2 artifacts combined together spoils a game thoroughly

Before 1.4, games with only ring of speed never spoils a game that much as opponent have both ring and staff
Probably i have been encountering it too often lately to get so frustrated

Remove arts/heroes is bad. When you doing map now ppl can play it later. In vers 1.3 Wyngaal is normal hero now he is overpower. Maybe in 2.2/2.3 he will be ok again. Arts can be changed too...maybe staf will remove 10% not 20 for example. Just make your map to use all game options and lets ubi/nival balance game.
Plaers can do his rules and play hapy

well I may have a comment here to....

If you ckeck the map in the editor and check the Adventure Map Propertires=> Heroes
you'll see that this Heroes are banned:
Biara (as Saint Isabel), Deleb, Findan, Isabel, King Tolghar, Markal, Maahir, Nur, Raelag, Sovereign, Wulfstan, Wyngaal and Zehir

(Another thing I can't figure out is why can't I pick Lethos as "start" hero....???  He is on the Heroes list but will not show up on the selection screen....??? in game he shoes up....)

and good thing that I'm not making maps only for Elit...
seems to be hard to please.....

No I'm not mad!  
I've just open the map in the editor and set all heroes back to "normal"  (reset)... and try to start the game over again...
but now Wyngaal and Lethos does'nt shows up on the game sel. screen...  
so I don't know what to do....  need help from some experts... "hint" "hint"

another opinio

just finished with lose to academy (i was sylwan).

Few things why i think this map is bad for sylvan:

had no favorite academy enemies except titans and coloses
missed third level spells shrines, for confusion or other nice spells i havent got in the castle.
packs of upgraded 7th lvl is a bit too strong for sylvan and its low hp to break them in week 4 end as it does academy, of course knowing pack sizes now, i would try to get tent with machines to not lose much.

next time will try with knights.

anyway 3rd lvl shrines and smaller packs (-5 creatures?) would be nice to wider tactic selection and faster game

p.s. there should be rule no necro, coz its unimaginable to play this map vs necro.

I somehow feel version 1.3 is more balanced. Since staff of netherworld added in 1.4 onwards. spoils game really. Its ridiculous to see titans having 2 turns before emerald dragons..
1 is acceptable really.. 2 before emeralds, 3 turns before hunters is not right!
And if sylvan gets it in late game, opponent will be hard to survive to see turn no.2...
Very sad really, i hope ubi remove staff soon

I think ill add my 2 cents.

First of all i think that removing heroes and artifacts isnt bad. War machines heroes and wygnal are more powerful than other and if you go random and one person gets the other is in disadvantage.

Artifacts like ring of speed and staff of netherworlds are too powerful generally and it shouldn't be available on any map since with this artifacts you don't need any strategy to win.

About the map. I just had a game on it and i didn't really like it. Sorry for the critics but its just not in my type. Mines are far away , spread. There is few creeps in the starting area and its generally very confusing when you play it for the first time. I had 14!?lvl hero in 5th week then i broke just to bump onto my opponents beefed up hero x lvls higher with tons of artifacts.


I don't like generally closed areas with uber powerful stuff in the middle. The game becomes a race: who will be first to get goodies, wins. I don't like the idea of it at all. Apart from that i don't like ti , some factions can kill neutrals more easily than others what gives them advantage over others in such maps.

Im not sure how many relics is available in this map generally but i hate maps with tons of relics. They ruin games. They became more common than minor artifacts, and major ones are just a real relics since they are nowhere to find.

Game shouldnt be about who has better artifacts but who has better strategy and not who can creep faster to get all the goodies. Its not a multiplayer game when you crepp whole map to get everything what is possible first and then you kill your enemy with no effort.

EDIT: oh i forgot to add that i hate shackless. But at least there is no surprise element if you know they are there.

Ive seen youve put a lot of effort in this map but its just not in my type so dont worry about my critics

I played for fun 11 days this map, no patience to complete it though
Was necro, and i think they are really too powerful here with those raise dead creeping.

If other races level 14 in week5, i seen necro hero level 15 in day 10 I know balancing a map is tough but necro seems too strong in one town maps most of the time

Closer mines would be nice surely

Level 3 dwelling to give sylvan abit more chance ?

One way exit back to main town somewhere on the map like the underground ?. (It gives option from the one way exits to main town to take spells or troops if u get into trouble with neutrals like pitlords or druid elders )

Overall, the map is beautiful !!

hey!

mapmaker has the right to do what he likes with his map

I like enable and disable heroes too, for various reasons..
.. some may be too good for start or some may be too suck
.. some are overplayed, so its like saying 'pick someone else for a change'


btw fiur.. some heroes are doubled in map properties
you have one Raeelg ON and one OFF
better disable both of them

yes I saw that too Insatiable... but there was several heroes who did show up on the selection screen... But I've fixed that now after several hours in the map.xdb file....  here is the bug:

And I had 7-8 entries like that.... (when I started to work in this map I put some campaigns heroes on the map next to the castles.... thats why the bug appears....  but now it's gone!!!

u can do almost anything , even change animation of some heroes , mount or dismount them, but it might give some errors in battles
