Eurovision 2007
Come share your opinions! Although it is not finished what are your opinions after the first round and about the contest on the whole
Personally, I liked what did not make to the finals (balcanovision again -_-) - Iceland and prolly what is in the final, the Finnish girl...
I liked Israel's show though... Push da button

Israels song was by far the most memorable, thus perhaps my fav too. Serbian song was fine too. But the song of my dear Estonia was just awful... i cant think of what idiots voted for that to be the best of the ten candidates we had... ugh.

My bet is that the Belarus guy Dima Koldun the winner of the russian idol 5 show would be ranked quite high, awesome song... Work your magic Dima

Israel was coo  Today during the maths lesson 20 of us came inside singing and behaving like in that Pushing the Button song
A let-down some good ones did not make through and some crappy ones (most of the balcans ><; oh and that georgia girl that made my stomach feel bad)...
Wondering what shall be happening tomorrow
Hopefully Finland can get through That girl has a pretty good song and a fascinating show coming up so a chance to win twice
And the Koldun guy (whereas koldun + ending "as" means dumpling in lithuanian ) can reach the top for real - cause his song, vocal and scene-o-graphy is awesome

Ofcourse Finland'll make it to the finals, the hosts get to the finals automatically
Although there's n chance they'll win. Hanna Pakarinen for God's sake...just about everyone in Finland thinks it's the shame of the decade that she should be the one to sing for Finland the year that the contest is held in Finland.
As for "Push da button"... 'twas memorable, sure And yeah, I laughed. So basically, nothing wrong with it
Lithuenia was brilliant last year!

Everyone in Denmark are furious about the GP - how could our lovely drag queen not make the final?
That being said, I think the result was a bit of a farce. The best song did reach the final - that was Serbia - but some of the candidates that got voted into the final were downright horrible - none mentioned, none forgotten. lol
And not a single song from Western Europe through - wtf? I mean, I don't think there is a political conspiracy, like many people here in Denmark think, but there is some sort of flaw in the organisation which makes the result very biassed, which is not good. I think the general booing from the hall when the results were finished really nailed it pretty well. So yes, I definitely support finding a new way of organising the competition.

if lichtenstein, vatican, luxembourg, andorra, san marino etc joined, that could maybe balance the votes again. i mean, right now its just that there are so MANY balkan states, and naturally they vote for their neighbours. cant blame them. i vote usually for nearby countries too.

It's like every eurovision before, people vote for the neighborhood countries. Like Germany gives 12 points to Turkey, which happens just because of the immigrants from the county. But I'm going to watch it anyways! I liked Coldun

frankly, i'm really dissappionted with britians entry. why can't it be something atleast a little bit rock and roll? dragon force are british, if they entered, i'll be happy. imagine if they were, they could play through the fire and flames
if only "Flogging molly" were fully irish, rather than irish-american, because a performance by them at eurovision would be great. they have sung songs like seven deadly sins, which would be so fun at eurovision.
but on the other hand, why would i want to sully such awesome bands to play in eurovision.

They are crazy. The name of the band is "Tipex", means "Whiteout".

Me liked serbia none at all Though it was kind of hard to figure what she was pronouncing (I thought she always pronounced "litva" which would be lithuania in most slavic languages )
As for the songs - every song non-english gets least votes from me... I simply hate most of them cause i cannot understand.
Alci's comment about music is right - but that is why i liked Iceland's song the most... deep and nice

Thanks to all the people that favour our song but I kinda understand those who don't... Marija Serifovic looks like she has the Daun syndrome... Plus there were people with much better voices (like that chick from Slovenia). But hey, she's ours so I like her anyway
