Logistics or Enlightment?

Another simple question.
Which to take first?
Logistics to move/creep faster and rush your enemy...
...Or Enlightment to gain more exp, and then crash your enemy's army with high-lvl hero?

Depends on the hero type of course but yo] will never 'crash your enemy's army with high-lvl hero'. At lvl 20 you'll have at best 2 more lvls, it's the stats you want. And maybe intelligence perk.
Logistics will usually be a better choice d'uh!

K, you told it depends, so let's consider Wizard at first...
That hero needs Enlightment a lot, cuz he/she, in 75%, won't base startegy on creatures, but on skills...
So what to take first, if you play Wizard?

Nah even then it depends. In a short map expert sorcery, destructive and summoning will be better than taking enlightenment and skipping one of the others. Assuming you try MMR. It depends on what you have in mind.
It's very good for boosting Havez's ballista anytime

for warlocks, you don't have levels to waste on logistics. YOu have to build your sorcery and destructive first, then get warlock's luck, arcane training and such.. you also need enlightment, even if only for the intelligence perk. You can start developing logistics, but not until level 22 or so.

For haven, where englightment is rare to be offered, grab it when offered. For academy, where logs is rare, grab logistics.

For Inferno, Logistics is a MUST (leads to Swift Gating which is great anyways, but also further leads to Teleport Assault, a great asset for your Horned Demons and, later, Pit Lords), while Enlightenment is quite optional.
So, while it seems as the most unoriginal thing one may say, it all truly depends.

Well enlightment is generally good for enybody, at level 20 it's 10 additional points to your main skills.. beter than any relic-class artifact. Although there are more important things at times, but if there is a free slot in your build.. get enlightment.

So...how about for the remaining two factions, Sylvan and Necro?

Not sure about Sylvan - I don't play often with it enough to make a judgement -, but for Necro, I prefer Enlightment, because it leads to corrupted soil...But I'm never really sure, so I usually pick the one that I can pick first. After I've developed other skills and abilities, of course...

if the new rumours are true about ToE then you can replace the skills(A new building that offers to delete a skill and then learn a new one) - But not if its random pick...

About what to choose, I like logistics, because I think the movement are low in this game... And I like to run long... Enlightment offers +1 to the heroes main skills, Which if your are fx Fortress is great, suddenly you have 100 in defence ... Awesome Just with Haven aswell you can get high amount of att and def, which will boost your army greatly...

For wizards my opinion is take Enlightenment over logistics no matter what the circumstances. Logistics will help you creep faster and therefore gain levels faster but honestly think about how many extra levels you must gain to equal the stat bonuses provided by enlightenment in a relatively much shorter time. Also enlightenment provides intelligence which is sometimes crucial for strategies requiring high cost spells but logistics has little to offer a Wizard other than increased movement.

The thing I always loved about Logistics, is the ability to move fast, and grab those enemy buggers who rush to take your unguarded castle. It happened to me alot, when an enemy pops out of nowhere, and rushes directly to my poorly guarded castle, passing my main hero, and having a not so good army. And when I start the chase I find out "hey, I can't catch him!" And that, believe me, is frustrating.

Yes but that's why one sends scouts ahead. I will not argue though, it can happen. In toh maps you need to move fast, gather what is essential and break though the guardians of the rich place before your opponent does.

If you both have logistics you have the same movement rate so you won't catch him anyway. Why to bother? Go to his castle instead. Going back when there is no way to stop your opponent from reaching your castle is nooby If you swap castles that way and you play a magic hero against a might hero, you gain the advantage.

I won't agree with you about that. If you have Exp. Logistics+ Pathfinding, you can take March of the Golems and then Teleport assault. With that thingies+ Summoning magic, you can make a great combo!
Motw Golems, Phantom Forces on Rakshasas, Tele on Golems' Phantom, tele on Rakshas' phantom= your enemies army background ( shooters mainly ) is out. Very handy if your enemy has Corrupted Soil which unables your not flying Phantoms to move.

Problem is when you don't have enough resources to even recruit all the army in your castle, and you happen to be playing the Dungeon campaign, mission 2 (if I recall correctly) and the enemy has the resources and comes out of the castle with a kick-arse army and you get to his castle to find out it's empty and say "Oh sh*t!*

I can't imagine a campaign hero without logistics. I couldn't imagine such hero since heroes II
