Quote: As flattering as it is to see an old topic created by yours truly being revived, it's somewhat aggrivating to see it happens in a totally off-topic kind of way xD The main discussion was about what creature types do well at a specific level, and personally, I find it rather sad to think that Haven in fact has the perfect lineup.
Hence I asked, what sort of lineup would be best to take down Haven? Such as in Heroes3, where Fortress perfectly had a tier 6 and 3 flyer lined up against Castle's tier 5 and 2 shooter, and a tier 5 with a super special to handle the tier 7.
Perhaps I'm thinking a bit too much rock-paper-scissors like, but to think Haven's lineup is the top notch is... Well, not fitting right with me.
Perfect overall lineup aside, another question to be asked could be, what's your FAVORIT sort of lineup? And don't all spam HAVEN now
can we use haven units to counter haven? haha. sylvan is a pretty solid lineup 3-7.

Sylvan have a very powerful lineup if they solve a speed problem - tactics, boots, familiar ground. With high speed sprites can go "deep" and hit 2-3 stacks(favored damage will happen vs ALL 3 so it's always good to hit a favored one). Also, they can do a very annoying thing - they can block enemy 2x2 creature(for example paladins..)
War dancers can steal a retal for emeralds and depending on obstacles maybe do a war dance combo too(same principles as above applies).
Unicorns can hit something on opposite side OR can actually choose what to hit depending on terrain obstacles.
Treants(if present) can just shield hunters and druids OR they can attack and "freeze" something for some time.
