This is why Heroes would be good as an RTS spinnoff: Imagine creatures like the Cyclops in realtime, smashing all enemy melee units, then throwing corpses at shooters. So much fun.

I think that the creators sort of agree with you here, and wanted to show us a free side of the Cyclops here. This what makes the animation main menu so cool. Becuase after all, its design isn't very good and the colours are not very pretty together. But even with the cool animation of the Cyclops, I still prefer the animation of HoF's main menu.
