You know, there was a time when I thought along the same lines, but not anymore. Like sure, there's always a physical thing, but that doesn't mean you have to follow your hormones all of the time. I don't believe the whole friends with benefits thing can ever really work as well. It gets messy, might compromise a beginning relationship, sooner or later one or both get jealous of each other and it's all about expectations that lie somewhere between friendship and love. Very confusing in my opinion.
About half of my best friends are women, and though I love them as friends, I wouldn't think about ever dating them. That doesn't mean there never were situations with a couple of sparks flying around, but nothing much really happened. Men and women can be friends and just friends, even with mutual physical attraction. Then again, maybe I'm just a little naive

Your absolute answer is not drawn logically from the statement before it btw - generally women are smarter but there are some really smart men hehee IQ tests have been shown to be not a true test of intellegence as there are too many social and cultural factors at play, perhaps one of these is gender. I score well on IQ tests but then both my parents were teachers, I have been programmed to think in that way since I was born. Who knows, what we do know is that some men are "smart" and so are some women, some women are horny and so are some men. blah blah 
There have been a lot of debates on whether IQ determines intelligence so far. The best way to classify it, not as intelligence, is bureaucratic skill.

@VF I spent a good number of my teen years in the motorcycle racing scene - my 4th year aniversery with my BF (I was 18) was spent changing the suspension in his mate's bike. Man I wasted so many years I too thought girls were b**chy until I met some true gems in the workforce. We are not all like that

Hmmm....maybe you are not naive but are just not as attracted to these women as you think or maybe they are not attracted to you at all and its just in your mind . I was really talking more about the depth of the friendship that you have with a person of the opposite sex. It is probably me that is naive as I was married for the last 20 years and life has revolved around my husband and children and really my close friends have all been women.
So now Im single Ill take your comments and put them to the test Nidhgrin .
